Exactly. A-Rod, the monster slugger third baseman barely has a better playoff OPS than Derek Jeter.

"Bron is having a subpar playoffs, man."
"Yeah but he's averaging a half a point and a rebound more than Chris Paul."

:usure:

That's not the truth, actually. Take this season for instance: Jeter's had the better season.

Also: a-rod is a banned substance using fakkit with a tainted career. He won't be viewed the same as Jeter. Deal with it. He's limping his way to an all time home run chase that no one cares about. Meanwhile, Derek DA GAWD went for 5-5 and homered for his 3000th hit. Some people have that ineffable "it," and some people really, truly don't.

And the reason Derek didn't move from short is the same reason a-rod's teammates in Seattle and Texas were fine seeing him leave, the same reason Dallas Braden's nobody ass felt comfortable screaming on a-rod, the same reason jason varitek DA UGLY HAIRCUT GAWD mushed that fakkit in the face like an errand boy who got out of pocket - because fukk a-rod. :lawd:

Derek led his team by example by just saying no to a fukk boy and his fukk boy anti-swag. Good!

So wait... on one hand Arod is a monster slugger and should hit way better then Jeter. We all also know who has been the better defender career wise and it's Arod by far. But he's not the better player?

arod has a .850 ops or so in the playoffs and carried the yankees in '09 to a championship. His ops is lower as I imagine most players would be compared to the reg season because you face #1 ,2,3 pitchers only.

04 2 series played -arod had an ops over .1000. jeter struggled.
05 1 series - jeter outhit arod
06 1 series - jeter hit well, arod hit nothing
07 1 series - arod hit average, jeter hit nothing
09 ws - arod dominated, jeter hit well but arod was much better
10 2 series - both sucked
11 1 series - both sucked

Yet jeter is a playoff god, and arod is useless in the playoffs? he makes 30 mill, okay on any other team I would see the problem. How about the other 160 fukking mill on the yankees. But no, lets put jeter and his 20 mill on a pedestal and just blame arod. the double standards are funny.

:comeon: stop it . You don't like Arod but give him his due . How many big stars actually carry they team to the title ?? It's usally the Cody ross , ecksteins, frieses who do the work. Why can't cano carry the team like Arod did if he's a top 5 player ? Arod has way more big hits than cano / tex etc everyone besides Jeter . You guys don't like that he's rich but why do you care you can't predict the future when giving contracts you pay him for the hr record he could still break theoretically. How bout we focus on swishers 1-33?? Fielder hitting like .083 this playoffs too

DING DING DING

Correct sir!

a-rod is a hgh baseball clubbing cave-fakkit from the depths of planet fakkitron and he is the highest paid player in the history of the galaxy so yes he should be hitting much better than the pure, classy, and based baseball GAWD Derek Jeter. I don't think this is hard to grasp. Neither is the fact that Derek Jeter had a better season than a-rod this year. Nothing about this is hard to grasp unless you want to ignore truth.

arod has a .850 ops or so in the playoffs and carried the yankees in '09 to a championship. His ops is lower as I imagine most players would be compared to the reg season because you face #1 ,2,3 pitchers only.

Except this is nothing but a selective plea-cop. There's no such thing as this "most players" just don't hit in the playoffs bullshyt. Some do, some don't. This isn't basketball where a team double and triple teams you and plays a box and one or some shyt when you're the presumed best player on the team. Pitchers are pitching to get your ass out, period. The curve breaks the same for each player, the fastball doesn't gain an extra 3 miles per hour for a-rod.

Some players perform above or right at their typical level in the playoffs over 100 to 300 postseason at bats. Period. I just looked up the first 3 Yankees who came to mind: Paul O'Neill, Bernie Williams, Daryl Strawberry . Each one of them hit just about the same in the playoffs as they did in the regular season for their career. So let's kill this "it's just so much harder in the postseason" shyt. For some people it is, for some it isn't.

I haven't looked them up, but I'm sure Tino and Sori underpeformed even worse than a-rod in the postseason. Some people are shyttier than he is, that's not up for debate. I wouldn't even call him shytty in the postseason, just underwhelming for his status and salary.

Yet jeter is a playoff god, and arod is useless in the playoffs?

Well, perception is a motherfukker. Jeets has gotten some huge highlight plays in several series and he's just more likable than a-rod. I don't think he's a playoff god, he's just Jeter DA GAWD being Jeter DA GAWD regular season or postseason.

he makes 30 mill, okay on any other team I would see the problem. How about the other 160 fukking mill on the yankees. But no, lets put jeter and his 20 mill on a pedestal and just blame arod. the double standards are funny.

I'm not putting Jeter on a pedestal, even as much as I joke about him being a deity. He fukks up, he fukks up. He has his rings, he has his highlights, and he's not a public relations buffoon who can't stop tripping over himself long enough to win over his fanbase. He didn't blatantly slap the ball out of a rival's glove like a petty bytch in a catfight, nor did he get mushed in the face by a Bostonian with a haircut straight out of the lowest level of the Baltimore police force on the Wire. He didn't kiss a mirror in a magazine, become obsessed with another player on his team, get gay ass massages from old fat motherfukkers in Central Park, or get caught taking banned substances and blame his cousin.

A lot of people on his own teams couldn't stand a-rod. All the talent in the world, but opposing players, teammates, and managers alike could take him or leave him. And it's not because he's the second coming of Christ. It's because he's an insufferable fakkit.

At some point you've got to let go of this "there's such a double standard" meme for a-rod and accept that sometimes in this world a motherfukker who acts like a lame insufferable fakkit gets justifiably treated like one.

And that shyt ain't gonna change.

I don't think he's tryin to save em, but the blame needs to put spread out a little more equally, that's all.

We are not A-Rod Stans. Outside of 09, he has been a disappointment.

But other scapegoats - Tex, Swish, Curtis - don't get that rabid hate and they don't even have a '09 like postseason performance to hang their hat on.

Hate A-Rod, call em a fraud, ok. But he's not the only member of the team not pulling their weight. Let's hold everyone accountable.

So basically arod is the better player but he's an a$$hole? cool.. he doesn't have a flip out against oakland, he just dominated the '09 playoffs for a 1300ops, so let's blame him and not jeter for playoff losses.

- and ya i'm not a fan of any yankee including arod. just pointing out this talk about him being the worst playoff performer of all-time is dumb. the level of double-standards between him and jeter is also funny.

So basically you'll militantly read "a-rod's better, it's not his fault, Jeter has the flip" into anything explicating a-rod's failings? Then I'll put you in the insufferable fakkit category with alexis and be done with you.

*adds to ignore list for a probationary period*
*continues to eviscerate a-rod's lame ass*

In a perfect world, Yankees fans wanna see the team win, but with little to no involvement from A-Rod. Best of both worlds. I think it's pathetic but for A-Rod, every game is a road game. That's why fans wanna see him dropped to the bottom of the lineup even at the benefit of other players they don't like.

arod could do better and some criticism is fine. He plays like a good player in the playoffs, not a superstar. But how everyone spins the yankees failure onto solely him is dumb.
