Probably the most disappointing character in recent memory. A soldier brainwashed from childhood and from the gate he's a bumbling, wisecracking, caricature smitten with a cac dyke. I had to stop watching TFA after a certain point, I didn't even bother with TLJ... Good to see people catching up to my viewpoint.

In TLJ, hes stuck in a subplot with an Asian girl that got shyt to do with the story and tries to kill himself in a kamikaze attack for some reason I forgot

Finns character was originally going to be white and played by Jesse Plemons. But they went with Boyega.

They could have dailed back some of the more ott facets of Finns character.

I think they will in TLS but that's two films too late.

Apollo made a few stupid mistakes (Including that fight with Drago that ultimately cost him his life) but he is nowhere close to being the worst Black movie character. He still provided wealth for his family and his son went on to follow in his footsteps and become the heavyweight champion.
