Is AEW as good as the Ruthless Aggression or even prime TNA?

I mean if you wanna compare it to a WWE period, you don't even have to go to "SD Six". AEW ain't touching WWE from 2012-2013 and I'm mainly talking about in ring action. People tend to forget those were all time great years for weekly episodic wrestling :yeshrug:. I guess a apt comparison is 2008 WWE which was also a pretty good year quality wise for the company.

Back to the topic, I can't speak on TNA -like I said, I practically watched like 1% of that promotion- but I think is kinda dumb to compare a 2 year company to a whole Era that lasted like 7 years.

Not really which isn't a knock on AEW. The Ruthless Aggression era was one of the best era's of WWE. TNA in the late 2000s was great. AEW is a good wrestling promotion and I really enjoy the product but too many of the wrestlers do the same moves or have the same style. Damn near every match you have someone doing a suicide dive outside the ring or a moonsault. Some matches seem TOO choreographed. So many factions which don't make any sense.

Why were two New York Puerto Ricans from the hood rolling with some MAGA Midwestern MMA dude, a legendary old Canadian wrestler who plays in a rock band part time, and a Gen Z Mexican?

Why were two Gen Z club hopping black guys getting managed by a near 50 year old wrestler with a personality disorder that also manages a butcher and some dude with a leather fetish who has a ditzy blonde as his girlfriend? That same clique who now aligned with some Mexican aristocrat?

I can't speak on TNA since I never watched it but it's some heavy gassing of both AEW and Ruthless Aggression. I will say that most of the parts of AEW that's not geeky indyriffic shyt is better than current WWE though.

I don't know about the RA but I think it's better than prime TNA, just for the crowds alone. I've enjoyed TNA here and there, but they always looked 2nd rate wrestling in the Impact Zone imo.

Private Party joining with Matt Hardy makes perfect sense. Matt Hardy is rich and one of the great tag team wrestlers. That’s private party purpose. Not that much different with LAX & Jericho. When young star athletes choose their management and mentors they choose guys that’s been there or can get them there

I fux with AEW... We need another league other than Vince's cartoony bullshyt that we been tolerating for the past 20 years. Theres alot of things that they need to improve on like
The Women's division
Getting more of that "cool factor" back and focusing less on the smarky Neckbeards
Pushing black talent(which they working on)
Cutting length on alot of matches
I like the fact that they let these guys go with promos, The stories and buildups are done right(Punk/MJF) and that they trying to bring old school adult content back into the mix

The TNA hate in here is so ridiculous. TNA on Spike was HEAT every week until Russo took over in late 06 which unfortunately was when Angle came in but TNA was hitting on ALL cylinders:

Heavyweight (Til Jeff got the belt to setup the Sting feud :snoop: )

Tag Division (LAX’s original run might be the GOAT. Styles & Daniels had the best tag matches when multiple teams)

X Division
Women’s Division

Joe vs Steiner
Joe vs Jarrett
Joe vs Angle

TNA’s biggest fukk up was not pulling the trigger and putting the belt on Joe at BFG 06 and bringing in Russo :snoop:

Jim Cornette Announces Jeff Jarrett's Next Opponent - iMPACT! September 7, 2006

They built up all year for Sting to take the belt from JJ only to drop it the next month to fukking Abyss because…..#Swerve :snoop:
