The funny thing is that Irv ADMITTED to being high on Ecstasy while kicking this bullshyt to Nas…

So Nas is looking at the CEO of a red hot record label with two of the biggest artists on the planet, lifted out of his mind on drugs, suggesting that his two flagship artists plus a living legend and himself ride down to a hood they have NO connections to flashing wealth and fried foods amongst hungry, hustling wolves…

And this is AFTER Nas mother passed away in his arms from a deadly disease…

Nas probably looked at that nikka and said to himself “Ya’ll won’t be around next year” and bounced

I don't think Irv was trying to stunt on the hood even though it may have (most likely) would've been taken that way. He thought he was "inspiring" the kids on the block the way the dopeboys did to them.

But it doesn't work that way...

First off, this dude is Filipino and fronting like he’s something he isn’t.

Secondly, you can tell that Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr. grew up sheltered and had no exposure to the dangers of the streets when his idea of a fun time is stunting in hoods where you’re an alien.

:snoop:

This dude is so lame that I’m embarrasse by it.

On an unrelated note this is the BEST interviewing job Nore has ever done. Throughout the whole show Nore didn’t interrupt Irv a million times, he let him finish his stories, he asked good follow up questions, he kept the flow live and one good thing about Irv is he kept the Ashanti shyt to the bare minimum

Didn't watch the clip in OP (laziness on my part...)

Of all cities, why Baltimore? Does this have anything to do with the TV show The Wire being filmed there?

I always wondered how the street politics worked out filming an HBO show in a legit Baltimore hood. Did David Simon check in?

Always wondered how The Wire staff, random production ppl, actors, etc interacted with the locals in Baltimore..

Melvin Williams (real life Avon barksdale), Donnie Andrews (real life Omar minus the gay part), prop Joe, Snoop, were all part of the cast. Hell even slim Charles to an extent even though he's a DC head but he's a dmv legend. I feel like them having local talent on the show REALLY helped in that situation.

I remember seeing Juice the weekend it came out. I went to school and we were all taking about it. A kid was saying how somebody started shooting outside one of the theaters. Other kids say they saw it on the news and it was in the newspapers.

Found out years later that the shooter was Nore :mjlol:

I was doing some digging into some court records for something I don't even remember a long time ago. I don't remember what it was or how I ended up down this rabbit hole, but I somehow stumbled upon some court documents of a situation where a group of fans followed Nore to his hotel to try to kick it and hang out with him, and Nore allegedly smashed a bottle of liquor in one of the dudes faces :mjlol:

This shyt was not long ago at all either and I was shocked because I didn't hear anything about it anywhere. Dude is definitely a wild boy

We wouldnt count Slim Charles as "local."
