Myself and my own.
I mean they kinda already doing that anyway, most people I know with new IPhones are on payment plans paying their phone bill and for the actual phone
It's disturbing how these corporations are just locking people into constantly paying, constantly in some kind of debt.

Everything on payments. Its wild how companies pushing people towards that. This is especially wild considering these days a good modern phone can last you years. You don't need yearly upgrades or even every other year if we are being honest. Back in those old days? Sure, but the phones are much better and last longer now.

At this point I just let my employer buy me a new phone every 18 months instead of upgrading in between. Why bother spending my own money for some minor upgrade :camby:

I don’t see the problem with this s long as it’s not forced on the customer.

also 100% Samsung with laugh at apple about this and then do the same thing 6 months later and the same for other big manufacturers

Uhh…mad at what?
it's an option
Don't a lot people already finance their phones through the carrier? And I thought Apple already had something like this. Where you paid monthly and can upgrade annually? Unless I'm misunderstanding. It's not for me personally, as I stopped upgrading that frequently but I don't see the problem. If anything it looks like this wouldn't require a credit check/hard pull which is a plus. OP, explain yourself :stopitslime:.

This is not a bad thing and makes good business sense like how automakers lease cars so they have a constant segment getting the newest models and then the manufacturer sells old ones to the used car market. Likely Apple will recycle the parts and materials of returned iPhones and that makes them less reliant on China and other places where the material to make phones come from.

Y’all want iPhones to take an L so bad. Can’t stand y’all green bubbles. :mjlol:
