Depends on the the tasks you're trying to accomplish. Honestly an iPad Pro with that 120hz refresh rate is fukkin to me

I have one. I think it is worth the price. I got mine when the apple pencil came out.

I use mine as a second monitor for my MacBook, so I can use the pen for Photoshop and After Effects. I find if I'm travelling it's the perfect setup for design work.

Obviously it depends your usage peoples' uses and milage may vary.

I want an ipad for beat maker 3 and for recording music but I also want to play counter strike and rocksmith...need a laptop for the latter.

This would be the main reason for me to get an iPad Pro. But music is just a hobby for me so it's not like I'm going from studio to studio and need something portable and I'm not one of those... sit in Starbucks and make beats dudes.

I prefer my Surface Pro 4 honestly. Returned my iPad Pro for the surface.

Mainly used it when I need a windows box and for travel. Mainly use my MBP when Im home.
