pros:
visuals
cast (most of them)
cinematography
plot (so far)

cons:
slow pace (could be a pro, if it pays off)
too much going on at once (guess that's why they taking it slow)
dialogue (sometimes very cringe)

overall:

I like it, could be something really special if done right but it won't be an easy feat.

First episode was such a snore fest and hard to get through

I hate when shows have these cool premises i.e; alien invasion (not the most original, but it’s a classic and always cool) but then turn around and decide to focus on human melodrama. Just comes off as super obnoxious attempt at auteur-ism.

they need to drop all this melodramatic bullshyt and get to the actual invasion

4 episodes in and the world still thinks this is a terrorist attack :dahell:

aliens getting 2 seconds of screen time :francis:

I get using the first couple episodes to establish the characters but 99% of this show has been filler so far

if this is gonna be one of those shows where we barely see the aliens and no one even knows they exist then im out

i hate these “one foot in,one foot out” scifi shows

either lean into it or don’t do it at all

- I could take the slow burn and lack of alien details if the characters were great, but outside of the English kid with the seizures, his classmate, and the Japanese comms engineer, none of the characters are likable.
- Sam Neill pulled a Drew Barrymore in Scream on us.
