Question brehs... who of the 4 players picked up at the deadline stay after this? I'd love to see Soler stay in place of Ozuna I'd also like to see Rosario and Duvall stay too. Joc is most definitely gone I think.

That woman just looks pissed. She's asking ol dude to check Wikipedia for some kinda rule where that doesn't count :heh:

Diane: that is unsportsmanlike conduct, that's a 15 yard penalty because you CAN NOT Slam a stick down like that, and second of all, that is TAUNTING you can't throw gang signals in baseball. Take that George Solar!" :pacspit:

Husband: Dammit Diane will you shut up! One thing I know about baseball is that Mexicans hit the ball as far as they can like some kinda sacrifice to Temeculah or somethingto do with the Aztecs. I mean look at it, he sent that ball home to his abyoola(abuela) but that's alright, it's early and we got more Mexicans than them :smugbiden:

Here's a list of the free agents going into next season...
2022 Atlanta Braves Free Agents Tracker

I think all priority should go into signing Freddie first. Pederson & Duvall have mutual options. I think Rosario & Soler might re-sign short term deals unless some other team throws them a bag. I can see us picking up Duvall's option since he's been here for awhile now. I think Pederson is gone, but he's a fall back guy if Rosario or Soler can't get signed.

Are they going to the universal dh next year? If so we absolutely need at least Duvall, Soler or both along with Rosario.

Imma ask my wife for a jersey for Christmas. Thinking of going Matzek as I don't like to get something everyone else has. Would like a Soler but I don't wanna show up to a game next year with it and he ain't even on the team.

People wouldn't forget him being on the championship team. I think that would pass.

Brehs I'm still :mjcry:

All day today I was mentally preparing myself to be hurt again, like I was married to an alcoholic, I have PTSD

I thought we were gonna be the backdrop to the Dusty Baker coronation. :francis:

We did it! :blessed:

I have 5 conference calls tomorrow and I'm bringing up the Braves in all of them.

Consultant - Sheff, what's the ROI on the automated wrapper project.
Sheff - Well the most important aspect of the project is the Braves won the WS last night, let's take a few minutes to discuss that aspect of the deal :wow:

I am going to be real with ya'll, at the end of the game, I felt the MLS title was a better feeling than this WS title.

I felt that the United had the bug on their back of being cursed due to being an Atlanta/GA squad. I felt that they had to overcome that. But after about two hours, it just felt like another day. Like, the Chicago Sky winning the title. In the moment, wow but after a couple of hours, it wore off.

After a couple of hours, I broke down in tears. Here's the thing, when we won in 95, I didn't make a big deal of it. I treated it like just winning a little league title. We are the best team, we are suppose to win. I thought we would win like the 49ers and the Bulls. I didn't realize, this was it.

The 2000s was made disappointing, we had the bats, not the pitching outside of Smoltzy as a closer. We get the new generation, McCann and the face of the generation, Jeff Francoeur. Frenchy came out like gangbusters. Once pitchers figured him out, he became washed easily. While McCann lived up to potential, the era ended on a sober note. We ended with nikkas like Aaron Boone, Nate McClouth, and Ryan Church. The Braves was rebuilding again. Then we draft the next generation as well as sign guys like Andrelton Simmons. This generation includes studs like Julio Teharan, Mike Minor, Craig Kimbrel, Tommy Hansen, Freddie Freeman and the face of the new generation, Jason Hayward. This class had so many #1 overall prospects and we had the #1 farm system in baseball. We tried everything to build around this talent, traded for both Uptons. Sign pitchers. Traded for Texeria in a stupid ass trade. This era ended in disappointment which lead to the Frank Wren era

Frank blew it up, everyone outside of Freeman was available. He wanted to rebuild like the Astros who was our model franchise. We also wanted players who weren't close at all to the majors. What it did was hurt us in terms of short term but it meant we can get better value as well. We traded Shelby Miller for Swanson. We traded a scrub for Touki. We were building the top farm system in Baseball but boy did we suffer. Three years of last place Baseball. I remember watching AA ball thinking they could give the major league team a run and I remember everyone in Braves nation cared about was Rome, Mryele Beach, Florida, etc.

The next generation didn't have the fanfare of the others but not as hyped. Albies had more hype than all but he wasn't consistent. Swanson had hype but we knew he wasn't it. Acuna started to really kill in Rome, from that point on, we realize we could be really good. These guys were all coming up together and they were having suppose with the pitchers and hitters unlike previous gens. We just keep making good signings. After 2 hours after the WS, I was in tears. Go Braves!
