A reboot starting from the beginning of Z would be dope. They could tone down the overuse of SSJs, give the other characters more shine, flesh out their relationships, animate even more action packed fights, and get things rolling with actual planning and foreshadowing
It's kind of hard for me to care much about the series continuing post-BotG. The Super Saiyans got too strong and made 99.9% of all of the other characters in the series irrelevant. It's basically the Goku and Vegeta show now
EDIT: Imagine if there had been actual fighting when Frieza returned aside from Trunks
The shine the rest of the Z fighters could have gotten by bodying all of Frieza's goons
Frieza actually showing off his new cyborg powers
King Cold joining the fight and actually doing something
Trunks coming in to save the day at just the right moment
Future Trunks is dope, but they wasted a lot of potential with that story arc.

Toriyama has been trying to throw more shine on the humor part of DBZ as opposed to the action heavy part that we all like. That was apparent in the last movie. The next movie will probably be no different and be decent at best. Probably have Vegeta tap dancing and shyt.

Y'all in here tripping like you don't know shyt about anime. Goku is the MAIN character of the Dragonball saga, the story begins and ends with him. If you really think Toriyma is going to have Goku get his ass kicked and somehow miraculously Vegeta is going to save the day then I've got potatoes on Mars to sell you. This is the way anime archetypes go, Vegeta will NEVER outshine Goku, he never has and simply never will. Get over it
