The fukk I wanna see aliens in it for? The themes in the movie is about humans saving humanity. How would aliens make this any better or more realistic. Ya'll would have shytted on it 10 times more than you are doing now.
I agree bruh, it didn't need aliens but the whole ghost in the bookshelf was probably an even worse idea.

Also how the hell you create a wormhole for yourself to save yourself?

this is what divides my opinion on this movie. its put together so well then the last half hour gets all M. Night Shamylan and switches up to some spaceghost 5th dimension bookshelf bullshyt....he shoulda fell in the black hole and saw his fam like Mann said and died while Hathaway was alone on the new world.

That the ambiguity, because it is suggested that he DID die and all of that was his last thoughts. It has a Taxi Driver kind of ending to where it's not exactly clear what we were watching at the end was actually real or his clear dream before leaving from existence.

With that said, and consider that all of it actually happened. You have 5th dimensional being which are basically humans that evolved beyond space and time and therefore have the power/technoloy to manipulate space and time. Being that time is not linear according to Kip Thorne, it is mathematically plausible for them to remove Coop from getting crushed alongside his ship from the black hole and place him into the tesseract to set the things into motion to save the human race.

MUCH better than trying to force some kind of love story and have that as a driving force....

We can debate that it's questionable... but considering that the movie is about the connection between father and daughter, and being a single father with a daughter and one of my BIGGEST fear is separation from her, figurately and literally, the bookshelf scene was the scene that hit me hardest the most.

Interesting. For me It felt so forced and rushed It had no impact on my emotions ...and it made the film unlikable at that point even though there were many flaws leading up to that sequence. Me having two daughters I felt it would of made that connection but it just didnt.
