The fukk I wanna see aliens in it for? The themes in the movie are about humans saving humanity. How would aliens make this any better or more realistic. Ya'll would have shytted on it 10 times more than you are doing now.
nah that dont count.....George Lucas was the producer and he wanted all that BS...he even said I Jones should survive the nuclear blast while being in the fridge..
@ Spielberg covering for LucasDidn't Steven say that was his idea
I agree bruh, it didn't need aliens but the whole ghost in the bookshelf was probably an even worse idea. The fukk I wanna see aliens in it for? Yea I can't even excuse that part of the story. But I won't complain cause I couldn't write sci-fi if my life depended on it.I agree bruh, it didn't need aliens but the whole ghost in the bookshelf was probably an even worse idea.

this is what divides my opinion on this movie. its put together so well then the last half hour gets all M. Night Shamylan and switches up to some spaceghost 5th dimension bookshelf bullshyt....he shoulda fell in the black hole and saw his fam like Mann said and died while Hathaway was alone on the new world.

Interesting. For me It felt so forced and rushed It had no impact on my emotions ...and it made the film unlikable at that point even though there were many flaws leading up to that sequence. Me having two daughters I felt it would of made that connection but it just didnt. We can debate that it's questionable... but considering that the movie is about the connection between father and daughter, and being a single father with a daughter and one of my BIGGEST fear is separation from her, figurately and literally, the bookshelf scene was the scene that hit me hardest the most.
