Facebook groups killed a lot of forums. I went back to a forum that I was on back in the day, and it was totally dead. There were threads from 2 years ago, on the first page. It used to be pippin’. Still have a bunch a friends from there on fb

Yea moderators ban all the good posters trying to control and politicize thought on forums and then those folks just head places where there's less moderation. Chips away at the lifeblood of the forum till it's an echo chamber that no one posts in.

not all arguments or opposing sides have merit and when people persist in the same rhetoric that have been disproved etc they just exhaust others and waste time.

Political thought is heavily guarded by hidden gatekeepers who work in secret to have posters removed. Competitors don't have this problem.
This sites traffic dropped lile 77 percent from like 20 million visits this year. People take their cliques and form little enclaves outside of the forum, post less and then someone who isn't interesting fills the void and traffic continues to fall.
If People on a alleged black forum can't be free to voice their opinions and are treated like teenagers, someone else fills the void.
