Why would there be a 3rd narratively?

They could throw some shyt together if they wanted. Infected always need killing and there's always human fukkery involved. But I guess it wouldn't be up to their standards.

In real time, i thought it was a given that there would be a trilogy.

In hindsight tho, there isn't necessarily a need for one.

Tho if that is how it ends... such a gloriously depressing end that perfectly fits the franchise's title.

:camby::camby::camby: They can get all the way tfoh with this bullshyt. nikkas can take their time as much as they need, but they gonna finish this trilogy, or they gonna figure out another way to adapt that gameplay.

I’m in on intergalactic but that gameplay ain’t gonna be that MGSV type action/stealth with visceral gunplay and melee combat from the looks of it, and nobody else been close to touching that style

I’m cool with no more TLOU but they (Sony) are definitely not going to let it die.

I don’t know why people say this, sony is the only publisher that moves on from big IP.

I’d be highly surprised if we ever get another uncharted despite part 4 selling 17 million + copies

I honestly don't care, it's not like they don't have anything else coming. I personally would rather a new Uncharted than a TLOU but that's just me.

no reason why TLOU2 cant be the last part. Wrapped up pretty nicely. Idc about Lev and Abby's quest to meet the fireflies honestly. It can end where part 2 ended :manny:

New Intergalatic: The Heretic Prophet details from Neil Druckmann

  • Inspired by Sierra point and click games, Monkey Island and Half Life 2 - Less handholding in the narrative, mentions a moment where you could look at Eli (in HL2) and he would wink at you, which you can miss but also memorable if you get to see it.
  • 2000 years in the future, deviates from our reality in the late 1980s
  • Druckmann jokes "we made a game with TLOU2, we made certain creative decisions that got us a lot of hate. A lot of people love it, a lot of people hated it (Garland quips "who gives a shyt"). Exactly. The joke is you know what let's do something that people won't care as much about, let's make a game about faith and religion"
  • The way the alternate history comes is through a new religion being founded, which becomes proeminent in the world, the team spent years working on the universe timeline and how this religion changed throughout the years, from the original prophet, being b*stardized, the evolution etc
  • Wanted to make a game about being lonely; "so many games we've done have been about there always being an ally with you, talking - really want you to be lost in a place that you're really confused about what happened here, who are the people here, what was their history"
  • No one's heard from Sempiria in 600 years, Jordan (main character) has to figure out what happened if she hopes to ever escape
