the guy was waiting for him outside at 530 in the morning with a knife in his waistband and woofed at him from one side of the street to the next for over a minute *with* the gun pointed at him.

this is not that "looking for an excuse" unjustified shooting that type of argument works with man.

that isn't what the news report says.... what do you see in video that says he had no choice ? he doesn't even live there he lives two miles away. he could have dropped the wife off and burned off when he saw dude was upset. there is no reason it needed to go that far in the first place.

White people do that a lot from what I seen, there was a video last year where that white couple got murdered right in front of their house by their neighbor. Said neighbor kept telling them to get back but they didn’t listen…..

Or that one where the father was trying to get his son from his ex wife and got shot gun blasted by her new husband. Even though the husband kept telling him to get back….

Word. That snowstorm one was crazy. Neighbor came out with a heater and the married couple was still talking that shyt. Man like me would have been copping pleas once I saw that.

The guy is not wrong for shooting him, after giving him plenty opportunity to back off. He made it VERY clear he DID NOT want to fight. It'd be different if they were just going back n forth and the moment things turned physical he sneaks out a gun and shoots the guy. That's different, WAY different. Here, he had the gun out from the start, warned him from the start, and then protected himself as he saw fit. For all we know, he could possibly have multiple slipped disks in his back that don't allow him to engage in something as rough as a fist fight without risking serious injury. He could have neck problems, knee problems, internal problems that become deadly if ruptured...anything. I know quite a few ppl who carry simply because they are physically incapable of engaging in something as physical as a fist fight.

And you know what? They aren't obligated to explain that to you. They don't have to reveal their ailments or handicaps, just so you'll "understand" why they don't want to fight. All they're obligated to do is to let you know they're not fighting, they're shooting.... and to give you an opportunity to decide if you want those problems or not. The shooter in this video did just that, and the victim decided he wanted those problems. And he got 'em.

And im the biggest advocator of fighting instead of shooting. I'm one of the loudest "youre a p*ssy for having to hide behind a gun", people on this site. But there's levels and nuance to this sh*t. This wasn't two guys jawing back n forth, things escalate to them squaring up, and then one pulls out a gun. They weren't fighting, and then the one who was losing pulls out a gun. No. The gun was out and being used as a warning, as a DETERRENT to things getting physical. But our victim was determined he was going to "make" the other guy fight and it didn't work out too well for him.

RIP to that dude. 32 is YOUNG af. We're so used to this that we're like "ah whatever" but that's an entire family destroyed. Imagine watching this and this is your brother, cousin, son.. damn. RIP. That's NOT self-defense because his life was not in immediate danger, whereas a gun is obviously a deadly weapon.
