Trumps numbers have dropped significantly across the board, a lot of “undecideds” have now realized this dude isn’t all there and a lot of conservatives have realized they fukked up. Discussed it with mom and some other fam… my mom might take the buyout and gone ahead and retire which is what a lot of people are doing. She straight up told them in a meeting that “If I have to commute back into the office after spending the last few years working from home and being just as efficient then I will retire” and what they will lose is knowledge, training, and mentorship that she has provided to hundreds of new workers over the years. She’s 30 years in the game at this point, and is literally the trainer for people who come in new to the position because (like anywhere you go) just because you got the degrees and certs doesn’t mean you know how this company and specific job operates. She will have 4-5 different checks coming in as well from pensions, SS, and some more shyt that Ive forgotten about.

My fam says some people are taking the buyout, but those are positions they don’t like or care for.

Most of the people I work with aren’t taking shyt. Nothing Trump is doing has effected any of them directly. WFH is still optional in extreme cases and not permanent unless approved. Especially where they are.. it effects nothing because WFH is rarely an option. Definitely not for me, which is why I refused to work in places like ATL, DC/MD, etc… anywhere to where my commute is hell.

But there are some that don’t work with me that are coming back in and now we got an issue of where to put these random people

I did federal payroll budgets are done 18 months out. they can use discretionary award money ( even though that would be illegal) but they’d have to go to congress if the amount of people they want to quit actually took this deal.
