I suppose advertisers will or have tools to determine the reach of “influencers” because understanding eyeballs and viewership of those influencers’ pages is important to the ad dollars they commit.

If not, this is a stupid update from a business perspective

Actually, I suspect this is a move by Instagram to cut out the middle man. They want to be able to sell the "tools".

I don't mind this idea. I post stuff from time to time that gets a lot of likes that is really just filler content, the stuff I really enjoy gets 10% of the same amount of likes :yeshrug:. I don't give a damn but I have a feeling that it messes with the algorithm when I post "unpopular" content, IG bots be salty.:umad: I post whatever I want:smugbiden:

This is great. It removes the clout chasing snd gives small businesses an opportunity to be on a level playing field. Too many people take likes as social proof of a business’ viability and it completely impairs the ability of new companies to gain a footing because of how indebted many consumers are to superficial metrics. :mjgrin:
