The obsession over "likes" has ruined black society's participation in the online sphere, taking full advantage of our collective lack of self-esteem and preying on an insecure group of second class citizens, those who chase adoration from the public by worshiping the superficial and selling their souls. I doubt this will remain permanent, since social media has been a wonderful tool in the war waged on our minds by white society, but I welcome the change for however long it lasts. :francis:

Low self-esteem is not exclusive to just black folks. We are not weak mentally, cut that sh*t out.

I suppose advertisers will or have tools to determine the reach of “influencers” because understanding eyeballs and viewership of those influencers’ pages is important to the ad dollars they commit.

If not, this is a stupid update from a business perspective

On the flip side, now these girls can stop asking me “why did you like her photo?” :russ:

You can buy likes, people do that shyt everyday

This is retarded. I hope Twitter doesn't follow suit because how you supposed to grow your followers this way?

What do you mean? You can still get followers and they can still like your pictures.

The only difference now is that only YOU can see the amount of likes you got.

How exactly would that prevent you from growing followers?
