John Harwood is one of the only honest people in mainstream media about this issue.

He just brought up that the House was already ready to pass the BIF then Manchin had to run his mouth at this press conference now it'll probably delay the vote even further. :snoop:
He told you all that he is happy with zero.

Jayapal says the House is gonna punt it to Biden on some :hubie:

I don't know what to make of this.

On one hand, it kills the idea that progressives are the ones holding the BIF hostage, but the same people saying that aren't going to give them any credit for this.

On the other hand, there is a very good chance Biden signs BIF after it passes the house, and either BBB never passes or it's some bullshyt, and it'll look like progressives caved.

I think the later is the plan. Manchin wants the house to pass the infrastructure plan. Then he will vote down the BBB plan on some troll shyt. He can't be trusted at all. Biden when he was VP was able to get deals done in Congress because he had so much experience. I think the reason why he hasn't done anything is at his age he is more passive. He doesn't have the same vigor like he did in the Obama years to deal with Congress it seems. If this was Biden back in 2008 he would bring Manchin and Sinema to tow.

This dude is a Republican man. Plain and simple. At this point if I’m Biden, I abort and move to the strategy of saying we need to focus on getting a Democratic majority. That’s how you motivate your base. Say we need true Democrats. As long as you let these people go it’s a question of Democrats can’t get anything done versus we have Republicans holding up the agenda.

Dem donors saying they may sit out midterms. That’s why the House is trying to pass things this week
