Republicans we’re good at mismarketing Obamacare even as people were using it.

I read that Dems are looking to do Paid Family leave separate if Manchin screws them over in the BBB bill. Apparently they been working with some female Republicans. If Machin doesn't support it at all I don't see how they get 11 GOP Senators.
Also, I live in NY state, which has PFL already so I'm good. I worry the middle class in states without PFL that will get taxed on this which is bullshyt.

You said this like it's some obvious catch all solution for people rationing insulin because they can't afford it.
Not to mention the millions of people who ARE insured and still struggle with the costs.
This is almost the equivalent of telling someone struggling to pay the bills to "get another job".

I’ve always wondered why businesses didn’t want national healthcare to take the burden off them.
Now I realize that’s part of how they retain people at sucky jobs. People are reluctant to leave jobs with good benefits.
Same thing with paid leave.

For clarity, my understanding is the BBB increases Healthcare affordability even for those in red states who self hate by electing people who proudly refuse Medicaid expansion :
