Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
We can only hope.

:lupe:

Funny that they're selling it after voting on it. :deadrose:

I see it, though.

Selling it to the people before makes no difference. They're the ones with the power to vote, they had to sell it to themselves.

Now that it's done they can sell to the public

They learned after Obama that people didn’t connect the stimulus spending with what the Dems passed.

Republicans we’re good at mismarketing Obamacare even as people were using it.

So imagine Madison Cawthorne bragging about a new road in his district that he voted against but there’s a giant BBB and Biden’s face next to it.

How is paid leave still a debatable thing in America?

Jesus.

It’s something that should have passed in the New Deal era or under LBJ’s Great Society. Just like a national health insurance program.

Too bad Reaganism destroyed America

I read that Dems are looking to do Paid Family leave separate if Manchin screws them over in the BBB bill. Apparently they been working with some female Republicans. If Machin doesn't support it at all I don't see how they get 11 GOP Senators.

Also, I live in NY state, which has PFL already so I'm good. I worry the middle class in states without PFL that will get taxed on this which is bullshyt.

Then get insurance. :dahell:

Breh, don't you work in the medical industry?

You said this like it's some obvious catch all solution for people rationing insulin because they can't afford it.

Not to mention the millions of people who ARE insured and still struggle with the costs.

This is almost the equivalent of telling someone struggling to pay the bills to "get another job".

I’ve always wondered why businesses didn’t want national healthcare to take the burden off them.

Now I realize that’s part of how they retain people at sucky jobs. People are reluctant to leave jobs with good benefits.

Same thing with paid leave.

No, it means that if you are low income and have a chronic illness then you should be looking to take advantage of Obamacare silver plans, medicaid, or expanded medicaid benefits.

Not only that, good benefits give them a leg up in good jobs as well.

I imagine some folks work full time vs contract merely for the benefits.

For clarity, my understanding is the BBB increases Healthcare affordability even for those in red states who self hate by electing people who proudly refuse Medicaid expansion :
