One thing I noticed while in the Middle East or from having friends from strict religious societies: the males usually tend to be somewhat feminine (by Western Standards). Their mannerisms and movements especially.

Doesn't make them gay of course, but I wonder how much that has to do with separating the sexes during key moments in sexual development. Maybe it's just Arab/Persian/Afghan social behavior and nothing to do with that since we have documented culture applying the gender segregation.

I'd be interested to see some kind of study.
