It’s unfortunate. We are 6 generations removed from being owned. My grandfather’s grandfather was probably a slave.

We were share cropping until the 20’s. Police was created to police us. Americans just “got” civil rights when our parents were born. Redlining “ended” in the 80’s. Crack was brought into our neighborhoods in the 80’s as well, breaking up the two parent homes.

The diaspora has kept us back. Imperialism destroyed our brothers and sisters whole continent. The whites and Chinese are pulling our natural resources and not sharing the profit. African leaders across the continent are draining their countries resources and keeping it for themselves.

The Caribbean is the only area where the diaspora has their “own” land. The rest of us are citizens of racist countries.
