Indians In The Tech Field: You've Got To See It To Believe It

I've read and heard about it but after joining this new company and seeing it in person this is actually mindblowing.
I'm an SWE at a F500 company and as far as upper management goes in the tech department, so far I have seen maybe one White person, no East Asians, no Hispanics and forget about any Black people. It's a tiny bit more diverse with the people around my level, with a few more White people and East Asians but as far as Black people so far I have only seen me and this other girl.

And the other crazy thing is these seem to be Indians that were born outside of the US. So they're displacing cacs in the own companies lol. How the hell did Indians come to have such a grip on the tech sphere?

They make up the majority at my company in Tech but there’s sprinkles of black and white people here and there. Most of the black people I’ve noticed are African tho.

And we have black men in higher exec positions as well.

They put a strong emphasis on STEM that’s why a lot of them go into stem fields like technology. What I’ve learned from being around many software engineers, developers and people in technology.. is that they know how to do their jobs but outside of that their intelligence and skillsets are very average.

yep, not surprised though. You look for a tutorial on youtube back in the day on how to do something on windows/java etc it was always an Indian explaining it.

Basically it is cheaper to get them as contractors instead of Americans, plus most of them do not know how to do their job and get help from other Indians. Almost all of the Indian contractors i knew that worked with me in I.T. were on fukked up deals, making at least half of what i did. No reason they should be this heavy in I.T. other than companies being cheap, but it fukks them over in the end.

When it comes to this programming shyt and building products these Indians are just on another level when it comes to passion for the job on some Steve Jobs shyt. They hit all three requirements for cacs that East Asians don’t:

1) speak perfect english
2) kiss ass like no other ass kissers have
3) deep love for building tech products

The ones who aren’t from here? Even better. They are at risk of losing their visa if they fukk up. So they gonna give it 110% always or sent back to India.

But the east asians who come from MIT, Peking, and Tsinghua are the best coders in the world (as a group) and the ones really crunching the numbers in the back, especially on Wall Street.

It was years ago and I don't know the technicalities that allowed them to pull it off but I worked at a place that was putting Indians up in hotels. I don't think they were going through the full work visa process, just staying here for however long you can stay on a visit and working. A google search says you can stay for 6 months on a tourist visa. One of the workers told me they were getting paid in lakhs, don't know if they just said that cause that's the currency they exchange to or if they meant they were literally getting Indian level wages while living in the U.S

If you ever ride through New Jersey you will be shocked at the amount of Indians in random towns, they filling up all the corporate office parks out there

I'm convinced some companies only keep Americans around to babysit these clowns. You end up doing their jobs and your own.

Indians have a practise and a name for the monopolizing they do in workspaces.. they do it methodically and consciously. they carry their weak and underachievers. help each other by an means.

i'm in the industrial field and Indians took over my union and the engineering and middle management jobs in 5 years. they have no Canadian work experience and are being hired in roles that demand it. They have a pipeline from HR into the company and are starting above locals in supervisory roles and such. claiming experience and education from back home that is not being vetted much, they help each other do the jobs they are not qualified for. the companies are allowing this to pay them less but in the end they take over key roles and climb up and then take out other races.

I don't fukk with them people at all as an East African. The coli bros used to be looking over at those countries and laughing that they are the highest earners and now it's the same in America. check the stats per household.

It's nothing to admire when they actively conspire to block other people out of opportunities.

H1B Visa. They have to work for the company that sponsors the visa or they get sent back home.
They can force them to take less money and work more hours by holding that visa over their heads.
Great science, math and engineering schools. Can get top tier talent for cheaper.
