Check my post above. I don't know if the Quran is responsible for this kid or not, but Muslims tend to practice inbreeding by marrying cousins (because Muhammad did it in the Quran, making it ok to do in general) and doing that at high rates creates a population where birth defects are more common. For example, over 75% of all marriages in Pakistan are between cousins. Other communities do the same, but for reasons that don't come from religion. So if the kid was Hindu, it might have been caste isolation and staying within caste that contributed.
