na thats east side access, i work on the 2nd ave line from 63-96th, most of that is existing tunnel. this shyt is new compared to the 2nd ave tunnels which been dug for 20 years alreeady
Damn..didn't know they had the money for that type of construction in this day and age..
Too bad here in Texas we don't get tunnels, basements and other ish of that nature due to our soil..would be pretty interesting to have a subway
Is it possible for non-workers to take a tour
I'm fascinated by that shyt
Only shyt I seen is the unused wall st station on the 6 line
The tunnel in the photos is a new Rail tunnel they are building, so people from Long Island can have better access to the East Side of Manhattan..
so there will be a subway line originating in long island, going under brooklyn and terminating in manhattan?
They been talking about the 2nd Avenue line for quite some time, but I'm not sure if this is related.theyve been doing this shyt since 2006? didnt recall any1 was ever informed

Nah, it will be a part of the LIRR... A commuter railroad that serves Long Island.
LIRR is like Long Island's version of Metra
And its going though Queens using existing track age until its close to Manhattan where it branches off on to the new tunnel.
