the rest has nothing to do withe ast side access and certaintly not 2nd ave subway syst
MTA got all this money for new tunnels meanwhile we don't have a contract 
i figured you may have heard something about the latter two since you are involved in underground tunneling.

all good, my companies handles power/communications for the stations. all i really know is (since im sorta still new) if east side access goes thrugh, im gonna be working for a looooooong minute and have 2 HUGE projects under my belt. those pics are amazing to me cause 2nd ave subway aint shyt compare dto that. i walked the tunnels between the 96th and soon to be 110th station tunnels (theyonly dug to 105) and that shyt was crazy but those pics are def on some matrix shyt

I decided to search this last night. Everybody knows Chicago has an elevated train system. Instead of a subway, their trains run above ground, criss-crossing through the skyscrapers downtown.
Well, the thing is, they do have tunnels underground. People just dont know about it
Back in the early 20 century, they constructed over 62 miles of underground tunnels, 40 feet below the surface of the city to transport freight to different businesses. They had elevators to lift the freight cart from 40 feet below ground up into the basement level of all the businesses. 20 miles of track are still accessible but, the other 40 miles of track/tunnels have been sealed off
