In the South, we can name more Boosie songs than Nas, Jay-Z, and Biggie combined.

Yall idiots be having candlelit sardine dinners with wifey/cousin and shyt like that down there, your opinions on rap greatness is just as stupid as your opinions on everything else. Yall be on here all day attacking and shyttin on NY out of clear jealousy...but can't take it when someone reminds yall how you're perceived down there?

Of course yall snaggle toothed, snuff spittin dummies listen to Boosie more than Nas and Jay-z, yall dumb...everyone already knows that, that's why I said this whole topic is insignificant..

Only boosie songs I know are from that gangsta musik tape with webbie. I ain’t gonna lie that shyt was fuego back then :ehh:

But boosie is only worshipped by the dustiest of dusty hood nikkas down here. He ain’t royalty like Scarface, UGK, etc.

As a Southerner, I can't agree with the premise of this thread. A lot of people, even Down South, were really late to the Boosie party. Unless they are mid 20's or younger, I don't see how this thread is true. Put it this way, Webbie and Boosie were a duo and at that time, Webbie popped off before Boosie as a solo artist. Boosie didn't get big until last decade. I remember when he dropped "Zoom" and some of the same people clowning him then were talking about how Boosie was one of the best in 2013/2014. He always had that weird voice even back on the South Coast Coalition days (website for underground Louisiana artist).
Boosie was big as hell well before 2013 lol. Especially in the south :gucci: I would say he exploded in the south around 04-05. Also in the Midwest

it’s like Gucci, it wasn’t About commercial songs and he even those in the south, wipe me down, zoom, rachet and his alb cuts was running.

set it off and touch down to cause he’ll probably his biggest songs tbh

nikkas down south don't like it when Boosie performs Zoom, Wipe Me Down, and his other radio songs

To let this shyt hit even deeper, Wipe Me Down wasn't even Boosie song, when I hear folks say that's Boosie song, that let's me know that they've just gotten on Boosie and are late to the party. That was Foxx song.

Folks don't even like hearing Boosie radio songs

The B side cuts are the ones folks come out to hear Boosie perform down here....well back then...not sure how it is at his shows now.

But his crowd, the ones around his age, or older, when he was in his 20s doing his thing, anything he dropped was pure Gold. Couldn't go anywhere without hearing a Boosie song...

From South Florida and I can name more albums from Nas, Jay, and Big than I can songs from Boosie.

1. Touch Down To Cause Hell
2. Zoom
3. They Dykin
4. Wipe Me Down
5. Independent
6. Set It Off

They Dykin and Touch Down were sped up lol. North Florida fuks with Boosie heavy.

To let this shyt hit even deeper, Wipe Me Down wasn't even Boosie song, when I hear folks say that's Boosie song, that let's me know that they've just gotten on Boosie and are late to the party. That was Foxx song.
Never knew :dwillhuh:

Ain't nothing wrong with what he said and its believable.

Outside of places like the coli and certain "hip hop head " circles which clearly favor toward east coast shyt.

Alot of people don't glorify nas, jazz or biggie like that especially in real life. Or any of the "hip hop head" darlings that r liked by people on here

Know people in RL that find their music tedious and overrated.

Plus none of those 3(and no rapper in general) are some type of artist like MJ where there music is some required or highly accessible music where almost every black household bumps their shyt.

P.S - Texas and Memphis are not respectable food places. Whatever they are good at in food can be found better in other places.
Memphis literally host the INTERNATIONAL BBQ tournament every year in may because of signature bbq not to mention being a city for some of the best soul food in the country and East Texas has a host of food styles like bbq briskets and creole foods.

Like I said before I got family all thru the south and most of them ain’t even big fans of Boosie like that. I have ONE family member who is a huge Boosie fan and he from NY but grew up in Oklahoma.
On another note. Speaking of regional bias. One of my cousins from ATL hopped on IG talkin HELLA shyt about how nobody wanna see Busta vs TIP cause Busta ain’t shyt and nobody can name more than 5 hits from him and how if u from NY u don’t belong in the conversation because just cause NY fukked wit it don’t mean everyone knows it. This nikka is 37 years old and said Busta ain’t got no hits fam. Just cause he from NY. Explain that. Tell me who is bias.
