Even tho the season picked up when Brody appeared, there were still enough good eps without him to show that his character was expendable.

I think this season went back to it's roots of season 1 by mixing suspense with drama, instead of the "24" all action feel of season 2. They have even more to work with on that end with Carrie being in a new country plus dealing with the baby...plus Quinn and the addition of new characters.

Quality season overall :salute:

Javadi (spelling) was essentially the head intelligence operative. He was in control. He did Saul a favor by disavowing Carrie.

This season had some pretty good episodes without Brody. The Carrie/Saul relationship is to me, the important part of the show.

They had Jvhadi explicitly say at the beginning of the episode that if they had Brody, they'd let Carrie go. Jvhadi was in charge, if he told them to capture Brody but leave the girl, that's what they'd do.

Also, there's no way Carrie's baby comes out normal :patrice:

Even though this has been 3 seasons, it's only been 8 months. Carrie said the pregnancy was from their time in the cabin which was in the middle of season 1.

Think of all the shyt she's done since then:

She's already bipolar, something that runs in the family as her pops struggles with it.

Smoking cigarettes

Drinking

Getting ran through by random dudes

Lithium and all the other prescriptions she was taking,

The electroshock therapy

The baby is fukked :wow:

breh, the Theocracy would have something to say about that. And Javhadi(sp?) Woulda been hung right next to Brody in real life :comeon:

They just dont let Americans enter and leave their country. Especially CIA operatives. Or even suspected CIA operatives or accessories to murder of high ranking gov officials. In this case the 4th most powerful man in the country. For all we know, the leader of the army over their might be more powerful than 1 of the religious leaders.

I know it's different writers and a different network and a different premise, but anybody thats a Wire fan had to be wondering where they were gonna go after S3 with Stringer dead and Barksdale and what was left of the crew sent to jail. They only managed to turn in the best season of the series with S4. :manny: Maybe Homeland will have a similar resurgence? I liked this season and it was time for Brody annoying lisping ass to go.

I still cant belueve Dex left his son with a serial killer and became a lumberjack :heh:

But Carrie still having a job in intelligence is just as comical.

The finally!!!! killed off Brody :blessed:, should have happened in the first season, as it would have had more weight, but at least they've finally done it. Carrie still being employed by the CIA though :heh::beli::snoop:. That last ep felt like a series finale as opposed to a season finale and if i'm being honest that's what it should be and they should just wrap it up now. Brody was the show and the nexus character. How many times can they recycle Carrie opposing her superiors, acting rash, always being right in the end, having meltdowns, being admitted to institutions etc.

I'm still :heh: And :snoop: @ Carrie not being able to even respect Brody's final wish of not having her be at the hanging.

With the new baby on the way, hopefully we get a Rasta Mouse crossover to tie in the Dexter universe.

And I just googled Rastamouse and found out it's actually a real thing:dwillhuh:

terrible comparison. The wire wasn't built around 2 characters.

:rip: Brody. Man where do they go next? This show has always been about Carrie chasing Brody, whether that's to prove he's turned or because she's in love. I'm surprised she didn't go on a whole fukk you crusade against the CIA and government.

First off, shut the fukk up about you not watching next season. Your asses will be in the thread huffing and puffing watching week by week like everyone else. Ol' I want to see how bad it's fallen off ass boys.

I hope that fukkery ensues because Saul not being on the show isn't what I'm here for. I really can't believe they did it. Brody's revelation about being a roach, Javadi's speech to Carrie and that phone call towards the end. Too many feels. I feel that this will be a turning point in the show but I hope that they bring it back. I guess Javadi will rebel? I don't know who or what will be the villains but I'ma be right there watching.

Brown Carrie>Blonde Carrie without a doubt. Is Carrie's unborn child the strongest child in the world word to Bam Bam? Drinking, possible STDs, Lithium injections, prescription pill abuse, mental, physical and emotional stress beyond normal levels and cigarette use can't keep her down. At this point, I don't think an abortion would have done the trick. Why did that dude have to knock Carrie off the fence like a roach on the wall?

Saul, I don't know what to say. You still with this whore, showing her the things only a CIA pension can provide. Offering croissants in favor of baguettes? fukk that, fukk her and fukk you. You think you won't be back? You gon be back.

To man man, Nicolas Brody. I'm glad that you were laid to rest because you have been on a journey that just didn't make no damn sense. Marine that becomes a prisoner of war. Tortured for 8 years. Turned and trained to kill the President. Get the VP killed. Convert to Islam. Can't fukk and reduced to jerking off in front of your old lady word to Curtis. Getting Carrie pregnant and being hanged? Damn. Salute my friend. You provided supreme fukkery and you will not be forgotten.

You and the other dude are too smart for your own good. What I'm saying has nothing to do with the shows being similar or what network they're on. I'm only comparing the situation. Both shows lost characters that to viewers it would seem hard to continue the show without. I said when the Wire did it, they came back with the best season in the show's run. I said MAYBE Homeland can do something SIMILAR. Quoting me about this again was a terrible waist of bandwidth when the original quote had a disclaimer in it to hopefully avoid such quotes. I know how literal you geeks are and how seriously you take these works of fiction.
