:to: RIP Brody. I don't quite know what to make of this episode. It was so intense up until Brody died, and then it kind of lagged for the rest of the episode.

The episode itself felt like a series finale. I just don't know what they're going to do with the show next season that will make us care. With Brody dead, the show honestly just isn't Homeland anymore - it's just going to be a show about the CIA, just like so many shows that have come before it. As much as I like watching the Carrie/Saul dynamic, as well as Quinn, assuming Saul and Quinn are still around next season, those 3, to me, aren't enough to make Homeland its own unique show.

the new guy taking over for saul is a dikk so im execting carrie to go rouge once she gets posted overseas. they will then prolly have to call on saul to reel her in.

as much as i liked brody, i am looking forward to the next seaseon cause them last few episodes was on point, it seems like they writers took the criticism and adapted.

it was a fun ride. I'll probably slow down on watching the show now, in fear of a Dexter-like demise. I'll check in with you guys to make sure it's still piff. I'm fine with the show ending with this season.

Show is so over the top. How can it even go on without Brody. How is Carrie still trusted with top secret sh1t. When does Iran just let an America leave their country. Especially when the American was found with the man that killed the 4th most powerful man in the country? Didnt even question Carrie. :comeon:

:snoop: Javadi (spelling) was essentially the head intelligence operative. He was in control. He did Saul a favor by disavowing Carrie.

This season had some pretty good episodes without Brody. The Carrie/Saul relationship is to me, the important part of the show.

When does Iran just let an America leave their country. Especially when the American was found with the man that killed the 4th most powerful man in the country? Didnt even question Carrie. :comeon:
They had Jvhadi explicitly say at the beginning of the episode that if they had Brody, they'd let Carrie go. Jvhadi was in charge, if he told them to capture Brody but leave the girl, that's what they'd do.

Also, there's no way Carrie's baby comes out normal :patrice:

Even though this has been 3 seasons, it's only been 8 months. Carrie said the pregnancy was from their time in the cabin which was in the middle of season 1.

Think of all the shyt she's done since then:

She's already bipolar, something that runs in the family as her pops struggles with it.

Smoking cigarettes

Drinking

Getting ran through by random dudes

Lithium and all the other prescriptions she was taking,

The electroshock therapy

The baby is fukked :wow:

yall talking about a Dexter like demise are a little ahead of yourselves. Dexter had 8 seasons. Homeland has a fair way to go before they run out of gas. and they already setting up for some international espionage in the next season. plus if the last few episodes are anything to go by it seems like the writers have heard the criticism and adapted accordingly. im actually anticipating where they are gonna go with the next season more now then i was during this season.
