in retrospect Larenz Tate performance as O'Dog is overrated

I havent watched menace since like 04. I started rewatching it on netflix and he wasn't believable at all as a wild hood nikka. Pac would have killed that role on some Bishop part 2 shiit. He came off like Michael B Jordan trying to be good as Killmonger shyt just didnt seem real to somebody really from the hood.

I just watched it the other day on Netflix also....and I have to agree

Overall it's nowhere as good as Boyz In Tha Hood in hindsight. Still one of my favorite movies of all time don't get me wrong. I just feel like Boyz In Tha Hood is a level above

Looking back a lot of those 90s hood movies had terrible acting. A Lot of those actors were so young/inexperienced. Movies were/are still GOAT though.
