Look I'm not saying we should just ship him out, I'm saying if there's a good opportunity out there we should explore it. There are a lot of "max" players who dont have full max value. We need to avoid signing those kind of contracts. Youre getting too wrapped up in the stats fam and not on court impact/ game play . As much as I love what he does offensively, he cant create his own offense and is poor on defense.

That being said, I'm a fan of JC but I dont think he should be an untouchable. You forget how shytty Amare was on defense. What did Amare win?

I'm not trying to name names. I'm just saying the FO should be vigilant and be open to moving him for the right trade. Actually hypothetically, say the Sixers have to move Ben or Embiid, I'm making a package centered around John in a heartbeat for either of them:yeshrug:.

I want to see how he develops defensively and in terms of creating his own offense next year since he his so young, but I think it's an Avenue to explore
Exact same amount of rings as Steve Nash, and we're building our franchise around his son :ld:

Power Forwards also traditionally win the least out of all the positions. Only HOF/top-tier 4s to win rings while playing the 4 as their teams 1st or 2nd option are Dirk, Duncan, and McHale. Garnett too technically but he was more of a 5 by then.

John averaged 21 on 58/40/80. He doesn't need to "create" his own offense, he IS offense. It's not just about the stats, it's about him bringing those stats from his position. He's legitimately the 3rd best PF in the entire league right now behind Giannis and AD. Obviously a tier below but he's winning his matchup damn near every night out.

I'm not gonna say he's untouchable, but there's not too many people I'd trade him for, realistic or not. If Milwaukee wanna do the same sign-and-trade for Giannis they did in my 2K franchise then cool

Man unless u getting towns, embiid, or someone of that Calibur...you gotta pay him.

The cap could potentially come down. He knows he is gonna have to be reasonable to stay and he wants to stay with trae. He knows he screwed himself out of a siakam type deal. I would give him a sabonis type extension

His Hawks rebuild:

Draft Deni Advija (
tenor.gif
) at 6 or trade the pick away

Resign coach Pierce cause he holds the team accountable when they play like shyt even though he and Trae disagree with some things. He said firing Pierce would show Trae that he runs the organization and he can do what he wants.

Dont give Collins the max, and trade him

He said Brandon Ingram, Fred VanVleet, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Joe Harris, Jordan Clarkston, should be our top free agent targets.

Jrue Holiday, Marcus Smart and Draymond Green should be trade targets. (He said we should trade Deadmond and Collins to GSW for Green and a 1st) :dead:

Looks like we might sign Montrez for the max. What do you think of that?

That means Capela will be coming off the bench then...If he can accept that role, then ill be cool with that.
Montrezl can instill some of that defensive pride and toughness in the young guys

The Hawks routinely tuned Coach Pierce out last season, either by getting blown out or just giving a half assed performance. He tried to hold them accountable but sometimes they didn’t give a fukk and b/c they’re so young it showed.

Also, with Trae, let’s be real. This is Trae’s franchise. If he really doesn’t play well with Coach Pierce as his coach, then CP needs to go. This franchise needs to do everything possible to put pieces around Trae for him to succeed fukk the optics

Also I’d be down to trade Dedmon and Collins for Draymond, I wouldn’t add a 1st
