How does this trade look to yall?

Hawks receive
#4 pick
Thad Young or Otto Porter

Bulls receive
#6 pick
I don't know if the Hawks want to move up from 6 and this makes sense for Chicago as at 6, Deni and Hayes could be there.

The deals I personally like is

Prince/19 for Cap relief
Oubre/10 for Bruno/19

Not sure it's worth taking on a player like Thad to move up two slots. He looked washed in Chicago last year and Otto can't stay healthy. Can we even trade for Otto?

Honestly I feel like we have the roster it’s just depends on it all coming together for a year. We have a legit 6 man rotation With cap space and a top 10 pick to add to it and 2 really good young players in Trae and Collins

I agree. With a team so young, year to year they are all going to develop and progress. Add complimentary vets and the rest will take care of itself.

Had this team been in the bubble, I guarantee they would've made some noise from just experience alone.

Why and for what?
Bear with me brehs. I have some reasons.
Dont get me wrong. He's a great young player but he's gonna want the max and I don't think he's worth that in 2020 unless he can show that he can create his own offense or be a defensive lynchpin.

Also his value as a young athletic 20-10 guy could yield a killing. It's not an indictment on him. I'm only saying it because I think he has high enough value at the right time to parley into more impactful pieces on the court. Let me be clear, I'm not saying just trade him for peanuts to avoid paying him. If there's no real value then we should keep him for sure. I just dont think he should be non negotiable.

:gucci: You don't understand how good JC is. Breh is like 85-90% Amare Stoudemire with 3 point range. Seriously one of the most efficient shooting big men of all time. He's a max player.

His only "issue" is that he's a true 4 in a league where that's the least valuable position. Everybody is slotted down now, so the best "4s" you see are either oversized 3s or mostly playing the 5.

But I'll humor you breh, what player(s) could we trade JC alone for that would be an improvement to this team? Name names :unimpressed:

I’d say we gotta see him with the team healthy next year before we contemplate trading anybody.

Look I'm not saying we should just ship him out, I'm saying if there's a good opportunity out there we should explore it. There are a lot of "max" players who dont have full max value. We need to avoid signing those kind of contracts. Youre getting too wrapped up in the stats fam and not on court impact/ game play . As much as I love what he does offensively, he cant create his own offense and is poor on defense.

That being said, I'm a fan of JC but I dont think he should be an untouchable. You forget how shytty Amare was on defense. What did Amare win?

I'm not trying to name names. I'm just saying the FO should be vigilant and be open to moving him for the right trade. Actually hypothetically, say the Sixers have to move Ben or Embiid, I'm making a package centered around John in a heartbeat for either of them:yeshrug:.

I want to see how he develops defensively and in terms of creating his own offense next year since he his so young, but I think it's an Avenue to explore
