Yeah when I say Arab, I'm using it the way we say it in France ("arabe"), which in everyday language has basically synonymous with Maghrebin/North Africans. Didn't even realize it wasn't used correctly (they refer to themselves as arab too so ). Props on the breakdown tho

Thanks and its no problem. The thing with mainstream media is that it tries to see North Africa as an extension of Arabia and so people think of North Africans are Arabs even though their culture is diverse. The only real Arabs are the ones from the peninsula. Syrians and other people of the Levant aren't really Arabs and I heard(I could be wrong) Iraqis aren't really Arabs. Arabization didn't just affect Africa but other parts of the world.

But yeah North Africa/Maghreb is usually associated with Arabs. If people knew how Arabs treated and thought of Berbers during the medieval period.

Because of France the armed "rebels" of Libya entered into Algeria and started Fing things up. So=ame thing happened with Mali. France seems to try and control its former colonies.

Yeah fam We're still in debt to the french because we fought them off and got our freedom... they want reparations... it's fukking foul. They've agreed to forgive the debt several times and have yet to do it. S'ak passe ? you live in France?

the majority of these mixtures were between berber/arab men and their african slave women you know.

why do black males keep turning around history on this forum? Just because you're getting women of differentt races these days,it sure as hell wasn't the case centuries ago. Arab/berber men barred their women from marrying or having sexual relationships with men outside their race/religion (all Africans were considered non-Muslim)

my pops lives in France part-time, but I dont fukk with him much. I got 3 uncles there and some cousins been there more times than I have fingers. Yeah I was born and raised here in the states. I lived abroad though for 6-7 years so I got to experience life outside of the U.S... it gives you a different perspective.

You got it a lil mixed up the slave women were mostly white. Berbers were not always muslim.. they were pagan, christian, jewish, and Muslim. There was no barring of marriage based on race... but on religion. If you were a man you could marry any woman as long as she wasn't Pagan.. if you were a woman you had to marry a muslim. Race didn't matter because berbers came in all colors. Black men were getting women of different races then too...but it wasn't exclusive to them.

Actually most of the mixture was between Berber/Arab males and European females. Most of the slaves taken into Northwest Africa were Slavic woman from Eastern Europe, which is where the word slave comes from. Also most people seem to differentiate Berbers from blacks, when Berbers are not one homogeneous people and there were black back then and there are still black Berbers around. If all Africans are considered non Muslim, then Berbers are non Muslim since they are African. And Africans were not all considered non Muslim since people like Mansa Musa back then was considered Muslim and was highly respected.

Yes Arabs did have black slaves. But Arabs enslaving blacks is highly exaggerated. African slaves back then during the medieval period were not even on the top list(Europeans were) and the Trans Sahara trade(which North Africa was a part) mostly imported European slaves. Arabs only brought slaves from the Swahili coast from Muslim Africans. Most Africans slaves ended up in Arabia, not North Africa. Like I said modern day North Africans are the result of African men and European women, and as result almost all are mixed. North Africans Y-DNA even makes things clearer since they carry African E-M81 around 80%.

So no. Arab/Berber men did not take African women, it was actually African men taking European women based off the Y-DNA frequencies above...

Only country I ever visited was Bahamas. But I always traveled around the states though.
