that song got played out so fast to me. i was into it at first and the aura around 50 made it a big moment but after a couple of weeks i was tired of it and wanted it to be gone.

with that said it's not even close to his worst song. he has a lot of bad songs that takes the crown before in da club.

Hate it or love it, the song did what it was supposed to do. He had me at wanksta, and when in da club dropped it was over. Those were still my clubbing days too. You had to be there in 03 to understand what this was. Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY, loved this song, North, West, East, and South. It is a certified classic and the really the dawn of a new Superstar and hip-hop legend.

no idea how this shyt got so big when it's quite literally the bottom of the barrel in his discography. Any other song on that album is absolute FIRE, yet they release THIS shyt as a single. The beat is so robotically simple and lame....."oh look! we're gonna add some basic swing to some strings!! :ooh: ", the lyrics are fukn retarded to the point where no one slow would even be offended that i said that.

"i ain't in there havin sex, i ain't in there makin love,
so come gimme a hug if you're into gettin rubbed" :why:

"Go, shawty, it's your birthday
We gon' party like it's your birthday
We gon' sip Bacardí like it's your birthday
And you know we don't give a fukk it's not your birthday" :snoop:

man how do you sing along to this song and NOT feel like a simple-minded loser? fukk all yall who made this shyt popular man :pacspit:
:umad:
Thought that you'd be happy I made it :mjcry:

The last era rap had quality markers as a product.

A great benchmark marker for a dope album. Was a bomb ass single.
being the weakest selections with the most accessibility on the album. When on grodt. There are several gateway hit records. That could have been the one. Yet were not marketed as singles. As they maybe the best songs.
in his discography on grodt tho.

You would have failed.
as an a&r.
in that long player meets mixtape era.
With this revisionism style of take.

then and also now.

Nah yall trippin. In Da Club is far from being 50’s worst song. At the time? Nobody had heard anything like that before. 50’s lyrics were basic and elementary but the highlight of the song is the hook. I’ve heard stories that multiple rappers had that beat in their possession and couldn’t do shyt with it.

That song doesn’t become a hit without 50’s presence and performance. Yeah it did get overplayed but that shows the strength of how big that song was and still is.

Candy Shop was worst. There was some joints on Curtis and Animal Ambition that were bad.
