I used to loathe the Spurs back when they were running the league. Can't help but respect them now. Popovich is great.

You can't LITERALLY give away a championship and be the Goat of shyt....

He has 4 titles and it should've been 5.

Put it this way: You let me coach Game 6 of the 2013 finals... Just let me coach that ONE GAME for 48 minutes... And the Spurs would be world champions, and Lebron would be the biggest choke artist in the history of sports.

I've never coached ANYTHING in my life.... So for me to win that title and him not... huge blow on his resume.

Everyone is blaming pop for all these supposed bad calls...but none of it matters if Ray Allen doesn't hit maybe the most clutch 3 of all time...

Or if Leviathan Leonard hit's both his free throws

About leaving Manu out there...yeah i was pissed about that...still pissed...but he been there forever...he has hit big shots to win championships...he played poorly in game 1 of that GS series...and then won the game on a ridiculously step back 3...and who else was pop going to put on the floor instead of manu in that situation...cory josesph...gary fukking neal...come on

Pop also pulled one of the low key G moves I seen in a minute when he let Tony Parker command the huddle for that last shot in Game 1...check the replay...this dude pop was not even in the huddle at all :mjlol:...Parker told him I got this and Pop was just like :manny:...and just sit the fukk back down:manny:

Cats clowning on a dude with 4 titles?

The best coach in your entire franchise history couldn't fukk with Gregg Gawdovich on his worst day :rudy:

Atleast Popovich wasn't duckin the Heat like that chump Phil Jackson, had that boy scared to come out of retirement

"And I told Jeanie at one point when I went in to talk to her about it, 'I think maybe we can get out of the Western Conference; we're a good enough team. That's a talented enough team. But boy, I'd sure hate to lose in the Finals again. That's something I have to start thinking about -- how one has to beat Miami.' "

Pop prolly is the GOAT coach but it's not even defendable about the decision to leave Duncan off the court especially when just the series before, the Pacers got burned at the rim for sitting Hibbert.

Manu being left in is cool cuz like us Spurs fans know, he can make a big play at anytime and even though he didn't play good in game 6, it wasnt because he bytched up and shrunk

:dwillhuh: 2 completely different situations. If anything you could argue he should have fouled there, but really no reason for Duncan to be on the floor. Heat are taking a three, so they have to switch everything and if they miss its probably going to be a long rebound.

leaving Manu in was an awful decision no matter how you slice it - dude looked LOST out there the entire game. He single-handedly lost that game for them, giving up a bunch turnovers for easy fast breaks for Miami. Let's not forget that dude was a non-factor for that whole series. There was no reason for Pop to believe he was suddenly gonna turn it around... and...

What if Popovich had just left Parker on the floor for the entire final 79 seconds of the extra session rather than pull him twice with a title on the line? Presumably, that pulls the ball out of Ginobili's hands, who coughed up turnovers seven and eight in the final 45 seconds of the contest.

:snoop:
