You will never hear the crowd do "smark" chants to get over in a Cena match because they too busy trying to see if Cena is going to take the L or gain the win.

:gucci:. Cena matches got hijacked by smark chants all the time.

Cena vs Orton at the 2014 Royal Rumble was one of the worst examples.

By the ratings metrics, they are. My point was when you have the nerds that say "x isn't a draw" or "ratings in 2019 are down because of specific guy on top", they're ignoring that WWE has been on a steady decline in ratings since WM 17. It's a damn near straight line on a bar graph. Putting the blame on whoever is the current top guy is missing historical trends that are about more than whoever the top guy is. WWE got so high during the Attitude Era it took them 20 fukking years to get back to normal.
Think about it though breh,

If Coca Cola lost consumers every year consistently for 20 years how would that be acceptable? If Bank of America lost accounts every year consecutively for 20 years how would that be acceptable?

You think they would be sitting in a board room talking about normalizing a curve or would top guys in those companies be shown the door?

The company books crap storylines and angles, shackles them in promos and on the mic, limits the in ring working style and then blames them when they don't draw.

Ambrose said it in his Jericho interview concerning EC3. WWE put that statement out about him leaving on their website, and then had him do a job in 2 minutes to EC3 making it look like he was being buried, when the fans boo'd EC3 and cheered Ambrose, they blamed EC3 for not getting over. Vince will refuse to accept anything is his fault.

If Coke lost consumers every year consistently for 20 years would you put the blame on the latest spokesperson? That's the same thing as when people blame Rollins or Reigns for being the latest in a 20 year trend.
