Yeah I think that American pie and Blair witch are the two movies that started that ID check shyt cause before that I never had issues and shortly after it seemed to die down. I had a few friends who tried to sneak into American pie, got caught, had the police called and banned from the theater for a year. shyt was funny cause o was supposed to roll but ended up not going.

They checked id's as early as James bond and purple rain, breh.
When, I was a shawty.
They never were lackin on that shyt, ever.
My moms was mad as hell.
My friend's pop took me and all his son's lil homies to see purple rain.
shyt last dragon and Beverly hills cop were out at the same time back in the day.
I still remember mom's actually letting me see Beverly hills cop with her after the kid hour of the last dragon was over.
They carded and escorted a whole bunch outta river oaks that night.
I was cool cause you could be underage with a parent.

I wanna say they stopped carding the summer menace was out.
We saw that in the movies and walked right in.
Back when it used to be mad shootings at the theatre for menace.
I also remember walking in for juice,..without getting carded, too.

In new jack city they carded for that, cause I went with pops and they removed mad nikkaz from newjack.

You're talking about the concept vs the execution. Every generation thinks the kids need to be protected....but in reality hardly anybody was ever checking IDs for movies, or for music when the PA stickers started.

To make things worse, there was this whole "movement" to keep kids out of R rated movies in the 80's when you could go to your local video/grocery store and see all kinds of shyt on the back of video tapes, anyway.

What's funny is the craziest movies I seen, as far as blatant nudity and violence on the cover/back....not porn shyt, I mean low budget 80's horror....was at a big ass chain grocery store. Can't remember the name of it, it was around '86 or so.

I know I got carded for a rated R flick back in high school but I can't remember which one it was. May have been matrix revolutions or how high . But most people get their tickets online now, then get them from the automatic dispenser, and you know damn well the person tearing your tickets isn't worried about it enough to ask.

When I was in high school, sideways were thrown at Junior/Seniors dating freshman from all angles. Friends clowned, parents called in that statutory, school officials wouldn't let them into events regardless of who their dates were. It was known that senior dudes dating freshman girls couldn't get anyone their own age and were potential life loser material.

This was in the 90s though, I guess things have changed

I was a football player in High School, I only knew 1 nikka who dated a Freshman when we were seniors ( This nikka even took her to prom as his date.). We clowned him. This chick wasn't fine or anything.
