In all honesty, this era of pg's are pretty underwhelming and dissapointing.

What did DWiill accomplish with the Jazz. He only had playoff success becasue he kept meeting TMac in the playoffs.

Rose has a team built around him, hence the Bulls will never win a ship with him being the most important piece. He in the situation CP3 was in earlyer in his career.

Rose got to the ECF the first year the Bulls became elite, not to mention the Bulls were in every game that series.

Stop it

You're asking what kind of post-season success these new point guards have had... and you're using Steve Francis as your benchmark.

Even Stevie himself is lookin at your logic, like...

This is one of the most bizarre threads I've seen on this forum regarding sports.

I can't believe anyone would truly take steve francis, stephon marbury, gilbert arenas, mike bibby and baron davis over rajon rondo, deron williams, chris paul, derrick rose, russell westbrook and damian lillard.

That's because nobody would.

Maybe Agent 0 over Damian Lillard at the moment but that's it.

Francis never had a team built around him or a team that was a contender. If he couldve stayed on Orlando, things might be different. he was always traed before the team peaked. Same thing in Houston. Soonas Housotn had a good year, he gets traded.

I wouldn't even do that breh. To me Gilbert Arenas is one of the most overrated players of all time. A shoot happy guard pretending to be a point guard with a mediocre field goal percentage?

I'ma go with Lillard because his head seems to be in the right place - a place Arenas has never been.

Nah Arenas was dope, just not a real point guard. Not to say that Lillard can't be better, but Prime Arenas > Lillard right now.

Other than Bibby(who wasnt even a top tier PG) everybody else on that list played wack teams in the playoffs also.

Rose the youngest MVP ever :umad:

Dwill hasnt done anything i the playoffs but but TMac and a fluke Warriors team

Rose beat up on the Pacers, and Joe Johnson-led Hawks

I f you wan to celbrate that go ahead.

Early 2000's by far had a better crop of pg even the older ones around that time were better.

Stevie Franchise, Baron Davis, Andre Miller, JKidd, Bibby, Arenas,

Marbury(he really gets a unnecessary bad rap for the New york seasons, but a lot of that stuff as outta his controll and moreso on management)

Even the older ones like Cassell, Payton, and Terrell Brandon were ballin

The best of this era dont even begin to compare and its a job to even watch these character once or twice or week let alone a whole season.

Rondo - Stat padder.
Rose - more athletic, injury prone AI
DWill -Soft and inconsistent
Jennngs - Not even going bother to comment
CP3 - barely acceptable but even then its just cuz of the era
Westbrook - :snoop:, that teams offensive strategy makes look better than what he and the fact hat they really dont have any offensive weapons dont help. He would be cancer on any superteam. The worst of this crop
Felton - :heh:
Lin - :trash:
Walker - Nope
Conley - Just not a floor general and hasn't put that squad over the op like i thought he would. Proabbly the best situation for a pg in the league and Grizzlies are underachieving and management seems to have lost faith in the team.

Cureently in the league, I'd take Tony Parker over all these dudes. Curry has huge potential but his health will be his biggest obstacle. I'm' still judging Holiday. Some times i see signs Iverson when there doesnt need to be on that team. But i see why ppl are hyped over him

Stevie Franchise, B-Diddy and Arenas were great but they couldn't sustain it for a period of time. I can see why you think that era might be better, but me personally i think this era is better. CP3, Rose, Westbrook, and D-Will would be able to ball any era with anybody. And we ain't even mention the young guns like Kyrie, Jrue and possibly John Wall as the next ones to take over.
