In all honesty, this era of pg's are pretty underwhelming and dissapointing.

:what:

Jeremy Lin is overachieving. He is the starting point guard for an NBA team making 6 million a year. He shouldnt be starting or earning that much, but he is.

fukk outta here. He has the skills. I seen it this year. He jsut doesnt do it consistently. He reminds me of yao with his passiveness on the floor.
He said in a interview he's passive becasue the pg is the last person on the floor that needs to get going. He purposely is passive.

Tonight he's have a great game. Nezt game agasint Portland he'll regress. thats been the season.

That pg playin in DC is overrated.

you do realize that is the difference between star players and average to mediocre NBA players? Dude was living on a Landry Fields' sofa last year, he has overachieved. Get mad at your dumbass GM for giving him that contract and the starting job.

That pg playin in DC is overrated.
what the fukk does that have to do with you being mad at Jeremy Lin?

And AJ Price>Lin

DWill. He's been DWont the last few seasons. Overrated. i watched him barely beat my squad i the playoffs and only reason teh Jazz won was becasue Boozer wa ballin. DWill couldnt do shyt against Rafer fukkin Alston, but you nigguhs want to praise him expesiaclly after what he led the Nets to last season. He's barely doing anything this season half thee itme but this is your cream of the crop.

:what:

Deron Williams has played against Houston twice in the playoffs, won both series', and Rafer Alston was the starting PG for both of the series'

Deron Williams averaged 17.9 pts, 8.6 assts, and shot 46.3% from the field against Rafer Alston.....but he couldnt do shyt?:childplease:

Rafer Alston only averaged 12.1 pts and 4.8 assts on 37.7% from the field against D-Will breh in 39.5 minutes per game:scusthov:

This generation of PGs are >>>>>>>>> the 2000 PGs easily

You're asking what kind of post-season success these new point guards have had... and you're using Steve Francis as your benchmark.

Even Stevie himself is lookin at your logic, like...

Just cuz I think Derrick rose is an overrated PG these emotional lames said I'm a "troll" and "not a real bulls fan".These nikkas are grown ass male groupies and can't see things objectively. The bulls will never win a championship with derrick rose doing that shyt he did in 10-11 as we saw when the heat swatted the bulls out the playoffs with 4 straight W's

He's a great combo guard that won't lead the bulls nowhere until the bulls get more scorers and better talent for him to play with, I'm a BULLS fan not some dikkridin derrick rose stan like these other nikkas

The fact that there is no Kyrie Irving mention in the OG post prompts me to ignore this discussion...

Early 2000's by far had a better crop of pg even the older ones around that time were better.

Stevie Franchise, Baron Davis, Andre Miller, JKidd, Bibby, Arenas,

Marbury(he really gets a unnecessary bad rap for the New york seasons, but a lot of that stuff as outta his controll and moreso on management)

Even the older ones like Cassell, Payton, and Terrell Brandon were ballin

The best of this era dont even begin to compare and its a job to even watch these character once or twice or week let alone a whole season.

Rondo - Stat padder.
Rose - more athletic, injury prone AI
DWill -Soft and inconsistent
Jennngs - Not even going bother to comment
CP3 - barely acceptable but even then its just cuz of the era
Westbrook - :snoop:, that teams offensive strategy makes look better than what he and the fact hat they really dont have any offensive weapons dont help. He would be cancer on any superteam. The worst of this crop
Felton - :heh:
Lin - :trash:
Walker - Nope
Conley - Just not a floor general and hasn't put that squad over the op like i thought he would. Proabbly the best situation for a pg in the league and Grizzlies are underachieving and management seems to have lost faith in the team.

Cureently in the league, I'd take Tony Parker over all these dudes. Curry has huge potential but his health will be his biggest obstacle. I'm' still judging Holiday. Some times i see signs Iverson when there doesnt need to be on that team. But i see why ppl are hyped over him

The only thing I can agree with, otherwise this is one of the best eras for PGs. Hell, PG might be the only position in which you have a lot of talent today (that and the small forward position). SG is meh, Centers and PFs hardly exist.

Argument MAY have been interesting if you went further back to the Stockton/Kevin Johnson/Tim Hardaway/Gary Payton/Mark Price era though, but not even sure about that.
