Rose averaged 25 and almost 8 assists at a time when it was rare (since Jordan, only Iverson, Wade and Bron had done that), so he had the stats.
Bulls had the best record in the NBA when no one expected that jump (they were an 8th seed the previous season)
Rose played with zero all stars that year. The Bulls big FA acquisition was Boozer who missed the first 20 games or so. Then Noah missed a bulk of the middle of the season. Rose was the entire offense and was the reason the team was able to close out games.
LeBron joined a team with two other perennial all stars from his own draft class, one of which was putting up similar stats as him. Bosh was the third option and averaged more than the #2 scorer on the Bulls.
Bulls swept Miami in the regular season
LeBron’s numbers were down from his MVP seasons the two years prior
If you thought Derrick Rose was a better basketball player than Dirk Nowitzki in 2011, you're the only one in the world breh
Steve Nash factor.
He is the last guy to win MVP while averaging less than 20 points. He was such a bad MVP winner that nobody else has ever won that award without averaging 20+ points no matter what.
That popcorn MVP that Rose got was purely because these crackas in the media were mad at him because of "The Decision"

I was a bron stans then defiantly against the bulls. Yet rose was rhe mvp that year easy.
The mavs late rego season push to playoff run. . That was the precursor to Dirk was making that move. Which again bron beat the bulls. In a series so close. It was only separated.
by like two or three points in overall score for the series.
That if bron was that great. We would not be talembout Dirk. We would not be talembout curry and the warriors.
Bron lauced't the finals from lack of execution. Plus being to much of a blow hard. To defer and let wade show him.
what to do under duress.
against a squad wade already defeated dolo.
We would never be talembout Dirk. If not for bron.
not being the guy.
when it counted the second trip bron took to the finals.
Stop the cap.

Im not so sure about thatIt’s way to early to celebrate their last place status, they’ll be top 6 by the end of the season

The Bulls had a great year but everyone knows Bron was the real MVP.
Then in the playoffs Bron solidified his status as the best player in the world by destroying the Bulls who won 61 games, in 5 games in the ECF
He eviscerated them
The Heat won that series in 5 and Bron locked up Rose on that final sequence in game 5 to solidify the win.Again.
I was a bron stan in this time period. Bron did not eviscerated them. The overall points scored in the series was super close. Bron won but it was not definitive or some spanking.
As a matter of fact. Bron did. Ot take from that series. To gain and then execute in the finals. So why even being up this Bron playoff win. Like the experience from rhis ensured a win later down the road in the playoffs and finals.
The win did nuffin for bron. Except create a losing streak in the finals.

I mean it was a sympathy MVP because you had people in the media like Perkins getting upset and triggered in helping go make the argument for him.sympathy MVP when you the best player in the league that year...
By that “logic” last year was a sympathy MVP for Jokic after all the whining about Jokic not winning in ‘23.I mean it was a sympathy MVP because you had people in the media like Perkins getting upset and triggered in helping go make the argument for him.
Even Embiid himself was getting emotional about it.
Jokic wasn’t getting upset and emotional about it like Embiid was.By that “logic” last year was a sympathy MVP for Jokic after all the whining about Jokic not winning in ‘23.
