In 1998, Kevin Nash was the second biggest face in the wrestling business

The Wolfpac were heels when Hogan joined them, and then dissolved in February. There is no logical reason to how any of this happened, but it certainly did. Hogan and Nash turned face, crowds picked them over Goldberg, DDP legitimately turned heel for no reason whatsoever, DDP puts Hogan out of action at SS, Nash takes the title from DDP, Savage returns to take the title from Nash, Hogan beats Macho the next night, Nash immediately turns heel on Hogan, who goes back to the red and yellow. Meanwhile, Goldberg wasn't doing shyt.
Wolfpac were faces, Hogan joining turned them heel because nobody liked his stale ass at that time.

Stop saying "them", the crowd chose Nash over everyone but Sting. Hogan was just standing in his spotlight.

DDP was forced to turn heel because everyone wanted to be a cool face

if nash were bigger than goldberg, tell me why he needed a taser to beat him? why go out of your way to protect goldberg when his star was so clearly fading?

@Kevin_Nash come eat breh, you deserve this one :wow:

Nothing but truth in this thread. Goldberg had some juice, but I came in and crushed the buildings the 2nd half of 1998. The fans and the streets wanted me as WCW champ, and they got, as they say in this forum "dat payoff" at Starcade. 1998 was a helluva year between winning the strap, having the most over face stable in WCW, pushing Mack 10 nationally with fans. Only thing that sucked was not having Kid or Scott by my side during that run. Hell, if I had my way, I might have rejoined Kid back in WWF.

And for these nerds talking about my booking, if I had the book at the end of '98, don't you think I would have given myself a legit run with the belt instead of dropping it to Hogan in Atlanta?

To sell the rematch that sold out the Georgia Dome a week later :dahell:

And Nash being more popular, does not mean Goldberg was rapidly fading out

Nash was in the conversation as the second biggest face in the industry. He was definitely at his peak popularity wise during that time also.:manny:

if nash was more popular, you tell me what happens if he had beat goldberg clean and they ran with him as their top guy instead.

All of them :what:

A legit Wolfpack Nash vs Hollywood Hogan match would have been huge.

Their was also Goldberg, Flair, Bret, Hall there.

it wouldn't have been bigger than nash-goldberg, that's for damn sure.

the fact is every single one of those guys would have drew more with goldberg.

Nash vs Goldberg was the biggest match they had, which is why it headlined Starrcade.

You have no facts to back up what you're saying about the drawing when the crowds were normally majority black & red, and the fans chose Nash over Goldberg.

if you fukking think that:

nash vs sting
nash vs ddp
nash vs hogan
nash vs savage

would have drew more than:

goldberg vs sting
goldberg vs ddp
goldberg vs hogan
goldberg vs savage

... then what can i say you really are wolfpack 4 life.
