Well again the rate of assimilation is increasing but the amount of assimilation is decreasing, so by reducing the number of illegal immigrants the amount of assimilation will increase

I don't see how the number of illegal immigrants is irrelevant, maybe it's irrelevant to you personally, but it's relevant to the amount of assimilation and the amount of assimilation in turn is related to the wealth gap, so assimilation is an issue

The study doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal, it just says immigrants, and it cites the increase in immigration as the reason for lower assimilation, so if you reduce the number of immigrants overall then you will increase assimilation, so it stands to reason if you reduce the number of immigrants by reducing the number of illegal immigrants then the group that is left will experience increased assimilation, it's common sense

we are slowing down illegal immigration and we should slow it down even more because if we reduce the overall immigrant population then assimilation will increase, im not sure what is it about that that you dont understand

again, the report posted said there is less assimilation, there isnt anyway around that, if that doesnt matter to you then it doesnt matter to you, but that doesnt mean im making stuff up

and actually mexicans, who make up the majority of latinos, is the exception and they are not assimilating faster, that is what the study says and a large portion of mexican immigrants are illegal, so im asserting that if you reduce the number of illegals it would increase the level of assimilation

and for the third or fourth time, the rate of assimilation and the amount is assimilation are 2 different things, the rate is not the bottom line, the bottom line is the amount of assimilation
