If they legit want him back in a year then we would have been better suited with Brad taking one for the team and coaching for a year. It would be a more smooth transition back to Ime. If Mazz has success would he even be cool with being relegated back to an assistant?

I guess this way it's likely to be more similar of a coaching philosophy but idk. Just a bad situation all around

As crazy as it sounds, and l the drama that has happened, the season is for sure not lost. They still have the assistant coach there who will relay Ime's coaching philosophy

If they add more of a bench either through trades, remainder TPEs, or veteran minimums, they are still easily a Top 5 team in the league

Unless Mazzulla turns out to be an all time bad coach, you can pencil in the C's for at least 50 wins just off of talent, continuity and experience (barring any catastrophic injuries of course). Seems like Mazzulla already has the respect of the team/star players. Maybe they get off to a shaky start given all the distractions, but I doubt it affects them much beyond that
