That song wasn't as celebrated as you might think. nikkas pretty much gave them props for making a "real" song about the hood and kept it moving. They had other tracks that got way more burn.

It is a ratchet ass song tho.

Song with a good beat, good flow and lyrics and a unique sound.

So if they remade it would it have electronic snaps, a drum cascade, and simple lyrics and expect it to sound good?

1. it's a classic not because it's from the 90's but because it's a dope fukkin song

2. there was controversy & people saying that exact thing back in the day, Chris Rock being one of them

:stopitslime: Why the fukk are you comparing Bone to the fukkin Ying Yang Twins..two totally different styles of music..them nikkas wasn't capable of a classic like that.

If they made it it would probably be like

"Wooh Wooh! Get Ya Stamps ON THA FIRST!"
"Wooh Wooh! Get Ya Stamps ON THA FIRST!...haaaaaaaaaagnh!" over a loud ass Lil Jon beat.

Only Haters hate Stamps,
Only Haters hate Stamps,
Only Haters hate Stamps,
We real wicers, y'all broke,
we real wicers, y'all broke,

*beat goes mega-man*
*bytches gets crunk* :stylin:
*haters gets :umad: from the ballers*

Real hood classic right chea.

nikkas would crash the servers complainin' about how these new nikkas are destroying black culture by releasing a song celebrating food stamps/welfare checks. But because bone released it in the mid 90's it's a celebrated classic?

Explain this logic to me old heads :leostare:. That song sounds like a fukkin' Boondocks parody.shyt ain't even that good to begin with.More c00nish than anything Gucci did.

You're obviously trying to compare how people view that song to how they view the trash of today (Chief Keef, etc.) but that was one song out of a variety of shyt they were dropping.

If they based their entire style around that one song and then recycled the same shyt over and over in everything they've ever done then you'd have a point... but since that's not the case your point is irrelevant and this thread is :trash:

An even deeper perspective... These nikkas had no songs about bytches on any of their albums. I mean NONE. Let's see an artist try that today. No soft shyt, just raw & grimey smashing on nikkas.
