I personally feel like AZ took that.

Same i feel for Memphis Bleek with Jay-Z on Reasonable Doubt album.

I just listened to this yesterday on my way to work. AZ’s verse is a classic no doubt & sets the tone but I always thought Nas got him on this. And that’s no knock on AZ because his verse is crazy

Nas verse is holistic as fukk, it had an ill beginning, middle and end he constructed that shyt beautifully.

AZ rapped and flowed his ass off, he seemed a bit more freeform with it.

Can't go wrong either way, but Nas is more impressive - as classic as AZ's is.

Visualizin' the realism of life in actuality
fukk who's the baddest, a person's status depends on salary
And my mentality is money-orientated
I'm destined to live the dream for all my peeps who never made it
‘Cause yeah, we were beginners in the hood as Five Percenters
But somethin' must've got in us, ‘cause all of us turned to sinners
Now some restin' in peace and some are sittin' in San Quentin
Others, such as myself, are tryin' to carry on tradition
Keepin' this Schweppervescent street ghetto essence inside us
'Cause it provides us with the proper insight to guide us
Even though we know, somehow we all gotta go
But as long as we leavin' thievin'
We'll be leavin' with some kind of dough
So, until that day we expire and turn to vapors
Me
and my capers will be somewhere stackin' plenty papers
Keepin' it real, packin' steel, gettin' high
‘Cause life's a bytch and then you die

I've always said that dope features on a dope album are always overrated, even if they can be doper specially if they rap fast. I think it's cause it adds some different flavor to the majority which is always dope. I would call a tie if I just heard that song and it was the first time hearing both, but listening to the whole album I would say Az.

I personally feel like AZ took that.

You think Jay-z would kill himself on a track? :hhh:
Dude wrote a conversation with himself with the same quality, none of their shyt would work without the other.
