WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T was recently interviewed by S.I.'s Extra Mustard blog and spoke about Randy Orton's comments on his "Heated Conversations" podcast about the national anthem controversy surrounding NFL star Colin Kaepernick.

"Just for a minute, Randy Orton took a step back and said, 'Maybe I don't know what people are going through because I'm not walking in their shoes'. You can speculate, but until you have walked in those shoes, you just don't know. People should step back and look at this, even for a minute, from someone else's perspective—and listen. Then come up with a conclusion after you've actually sat and talked about it, instead of making your decision before you even sit down."

The promoter of the Houston, Texas based Reality Of Wrestling (ROW) promotion also shared his thoughts regarding the Republican candidate for United States president, Donald Trump, and the racism controversy that has surrounded him throughout the ongoing election.

"The election is definitely hanging in the balance. Donald Trump has said a lot of inflammatory comments that a lot of people don't like, but people can sometimes speak from a racist standpoint and not really know they are racist. It's like when white people want to speak on slavery, maybe they should take a step back and say, 'Maybe I don't understand what you're going through,' or have the empathy to look at race from a different position.

"Personally, I'm not a Republican and I'm not a Democrat. People need to stop focusing on becoming part of a party and instead voting with their mind and their heart. If [Republican] Paul Ryan was running for president, there are some views of his that I like, so I could vote for Paul Ryan. If Bernie Sanders, who is a Democrat, won the nomination, I could have voted for Bernie Sanders. I'm going to vote because it is my duty. People fought for me to have that right."

Despite how you feel, ya must vote. See people in TLR talking about not voting.

You have no duty to vote. The brainwashing is why things have been able to procede the way it has for so long.
Idiots just repeat platitudes to the point its engrained and they don't even think about what they are saying.

Just because people don't agree with the protest method doesn't make them racist or a coom

This would fly if Colin's protest was a violent one, but it's not. No one is being hurt by what he did, yet there is more focus on his form protest than the issues he is trying to bring to light, which speaks volumes. There is no "perfect protest". It's a protest. And what Colin doing is definition of a peaceful protest, and yet folks would rather make it about the flag.

It's at that point one would have to realise that they just don't give a fukk, so fukk them double.

People fought for the RIGHT to CHOOSE to vote...and some people feel obligated to execute that choice, or that fight was in vain, in their eyes.

They are not wrong, its how they interpret the fight.

Well apparently judging from that r first tweet kkklandy doesn't see color. That's an extremely ignorant statement. You should have and issue with that

Yeah "I don't see color" is pretty problematic. Its just a way to conveniently bury your head in the sand when it comes to racism that black people experience, by stripping us of our identity as black folks, the same identity that is used to discriminate against us.

So yeah Randy is on some bullshyt

People fought for the IDEA of inclusion in the decision process of government.
That is a noble idea, unfortunately voting is not the same thing, because by design the government doesn't enact or follow the will of the people, its merely a pacifying agent to keep the sheep calm and under the illusion that they actually have some say, instead of realizing the game is rigged and actually taking action to actually change things.

Just my opinion though

If I as a black person say, "I don't see color", that's jjust ME saying I try to treat everyone the same.

I can't speak for his own meaning of that phrase, but I can only base it on MY interpretation.

So again, I have a prob with his original comments weeks ago, but these new ones don't bother me.
