I'm to the point where I will only to the movies to see blockbusters...

I hear you cats but I can't imagine not going to a theater to see something. It's one thing if I miss a movie or just don't have a big desire to see it and then catch it on tv or through illegal life, but I'll always prefer the theater over anything else. Whether is the middle of June or the beginning of February.

It's always been about money for me....when a night at the movies can run you $50 for two people...its time to call it a wrap.

For that price, I can watch netflix/HBOGO/PSN, order a gourmet meal delivered to my door and be right next to the bathroom. When it's all said and done, I will still have change left to do it all over again tomorrow.

$50 for two people? Fukk you buying at the movies son?

Still not worth it breh. First off, there's barely any movie I want to see in theatre once every other month let alone once a month. Second, them theatres be eating good off of concession money, so you still paying like $50 a month just to see 1-2 movies if you want snacks and drive. Third, Netflix is $10 a month. Make it $20 a month for that movie pass shyt and maybe it might be worth it. But first Hollywood needs to start making more movies worth going to the theatre for. Unless you some movie critic, paying $30 a month to watch unlimited garbage movies is a waste.

Even if you see one movie in theater every 2 months on average than no, Movie Pass may be not for you.

Live in a major city breh. All our theatres round here are $12.50 for general admission. Imax is $15.

I am in a major city breh lol. But I guess the difference is this: if I'm with a date why am I buying two things of popcorn? Get the big kind that settles that. OR I can hit the Costco, get two tickets for $16 and that saves money at the theater. Or the best situation ever: dating a girl who wants to split it because she's not into me paying all of her way. If I get tickets she'll handle the food.

The only time I've spent anywhere close to that at a theater is at the Alamo but it's worth it

Or date a chick that don't mind bringing a big ass purse to sneak snacks in. We hit up the store before the movie.

Yea I buy tickets and my girl gets food. We usually get the combo that comes with lrg popcorn lrg drink and a bag of candy. shyt is $15. We only go see 2 or 3 movies a year so signing up for costco aint really a big deal. I also agree with OP. I only watch blockbusters and certain ones at that.

Yeah definitely don't sign up to Costco just for tix. I'm there every weekend.

But I see more than two or three movies a year. At least once a month

I used to try and hit up AMC once a month but Cineplex bought out every AMC and Famous Players few years back now my points card is invalid. My hate for Cineplex (always dirty and expensive) has kept me from getting the Scene card. I miss AMC. shyt was like my 2nd home.
