I wish yall would stop this narrative about Lebron bein an all around better player than Jordan. it's not true.

Mahomes is visibly more talented than Brady. Lebron is not visibly more talented than Jordan.

Depends which areas you're looking at. Both have areas they're better than the other. Like passing and running an offence isn't even close in LeBron's favour and footwork in the post and mid range jumpers isn't close in MJ's. I give Bron the edge cause I think the things he's worse at, he's closer to MJ on than MJ is to Bron in the things Bron is better at. Plus he's much bigger which allows him to be a more versatile defender, better rebounder etc. Also a better 3 point shooter.

Imagine if MJ could handpick his situation and build superteams…
Well MJ does have a chance to do that as an owner/GM, and so far he's owns one of the most successful franchises in the NBA and have dominated this league due to MJ's talent evaluation

Oh wait :mjlol:

Why would he have needed to do that with his GM already did a good job of it?

You guys really think the cavs front office was on par with the bulls of the 90s

Its amazing. The buffoon like absence of context is deliberate.

I respect both Jordan and Bron. Wade is my favorite player of all time. Jordan and Bron are honestly not in my top 5 favorites that I have ever watched play

I say that to say, let's think about things differently when it comes to these two

Imma ask this and let yall discuss. Because at this point, this discourse is like the Pac vs Biggie one back in the day
:francis:

All these what if scenarios. What if Jordan that. What if Lebron never left Cleveland

I'll ask these multi layered questions:

Imagine, in their exact states since coming into the league. Same physical gifts, mental abilities, and basketball talents.

Imagine if Jordan came into the league on a team like the 2000s Cavs. With a mid coach, a shytty GM, someone like Darius Miles being one of the leaders (that same nikka saying shyt like "we don't even need the 1st overall pick") and the same level of talent on that roster. From the jump.

Let alone after 2008. Imagine.

Put that to the side

Imagine Lebron coming into a situation like Jordan. With a competent but snarky GM that can put together a quality team even though he's a bytch personality wise

Imagine Lebron on a team with a coach like Doug Collins. From the jump. Imagine Lebron having to play on a team like that. With more cohesion than the Cavs ever had before he got drafted

Discuss. Im tryna spark thoughtful discussion. And just leave me out of the childish shyt. Because both Lebron and MJ would laugh and/or look at some of yall in disgust if they knew the shyt yall posted in here. In the name of loyalty to them. Like they know you exist

Sorry for talking about your GOAT
:yeshrug:

And honestly even if I did get banned from this subforum, I would gladly approve. Because yall really don't talk about shyt

Ask yall selves, do yall really have fun arguing about the dumb shyt that yall talk about in The Coliseum everyday?

If yall do then.......

Maybe I don't even need to post in this subforum anymore. And I would directly benefit from not doing so

?????

:dahell: u rambling about? OP was painting a picture of Lebron and Mike’s situation switching places.

If you are going to place MJ on a team like the Cavs “with a mid coach etc.”, why cant we question what his ring count/career wouldve looked like if he teamed up?

You Bron stans, i tell ya …

What you said made zero sense. MJ had a GM doing the good work Bron didnt have his first seven years. Yet you still post this dumb shyt.

Imagine if MJ could handpick his situation and build superteams…

Why would he have to when he had someone good at their actual hob doing that job?

Worse is this “Bron stans” bullshyt because you outright ignored context

Tear down my point.

Brotha, you do realize that making this very thread is essentially being guilty of the very thing you're accusing this board of doing?

:yeshrug:

This is a dumb thread because it's rehashing the same damn topic that's been discussed an infinite amount of times
You're not talking about shyt because you're rehashing the same damn topic that's been discussed an infinite amount of times.

You see?

JI disagree with the not even close in passing. Jordans was one one the goat passers. I'll say Lebron is better but not by "not even close". it's because Lebron is the more willing passer. Jordan showed alot of versatile ways in passing. from the post, between the leg, behind the back etc. every type of passes Lebron can do besides top of the key. he averaged 8 assist per game one season. so i don't think Lebron runs an offense/rebounds better than Jordan more than Jordan being a better scorer/defender than Lebron. That's why I said, he's not more visibly talented than MJ like how Mahomes is to Brady.

Revisionist thinking. No one can just will their way to win. MJ was upset early in all 4 tournaments as the #1 option in college, only won one playoff game in his first three seasons in the league, and was nearly 30 before he finally won a title.

Imagine Pippen gets a career-ending injury early in the 1991 playoffs. Then what? Why would MJ automatically win a title when he already had failed to win titles over and over in the previous years?

I don't see MJ winning any titles with Zydrunas Iglauskas or Mo Williams as his #2. What evidence is there that the Cavs were ever going to build a better team than that?

These are all valid points and no one has ever said that Jordan made them a better player but take the improvement in sport sciences and in the game and put someone like Jordan in there and he still wins those same rings.
