What's also weird about the joke complaint is the source material specifically Marvel Earth-616 always has jokes in them.

Y'know who's a really cool character? Falcon.

When his move set is all compiled together dude is badass as fukk.

Like in civil war I didn't notice he retracted his wings to fukking dropkick the helicopter, I thought he flew into it. That shyt is crazy
full

I love that part. "Got em'."

falcon/Sam Wilson is a most definitely slept on character in The MCU if Chris Evans isn't coming back to The MCU after avengers 4 for a while I hope they don't give cap's shield to bucky because Anthony Mackie >>>>>>>>> Sebastian Stan as a charismatic/entertaining actor and would probably be able to do much more with a bigger character push in The MCU

And that's my point..... people to go overboard with their faux outrage of dialogue that goes on for a few seconds (I mean it's not like it's long monologues, just a quick statement or word here and there) and ignore the dope shyt happening on screen.

If you're one to really turn your head after one comment that's about at best 6 seconds long then in the next 10-15 minutes of action still harping on 6 seconds.

That more your problem than anything else

Yes..... they are being true to who they are and I find nothing wrong with that nor do I see it as bad as peeps fauxly complain about it.

It's not Def Comedy Jam or a VH1 Roast session type level. A lot of the shyt not even straight up punchlines just moments of levity and humor nothing unlike any other successful movies that's done the same

Spider-Man Homecoming 2 Begins Minutes After Avengers 4

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel Picks Up “A Few Minutes” After ‘Avengers 4’ Ends
Posted on Friday, June 30th, 2017 by Ben Pearson

Earlier this week, we found out that the direct sequel to Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Homecoming will kick off a new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by showing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man dealing with the aftermath of the upcoming Avengers movies. But that connection will be even more explicit than we thought: according to producer Amy Pascal, the opening of Spider-Man Homecoming 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) will pick up only “a few minutes” after the events of Avengers 4.

In an interview with Fandom in which the interviewer attempts to squeeze some information out of Pascal regarding Sony’s upcoming Venom movie, the producer tried to steer the conversation back to the cinematic hero of the moment and revealed an interesting tidbit in the process:

“What I think we should focus on is this Spider-Man who started in Civil War and then has this movie [Homecoming], and then will be in the Avengers movie. And we are starting now the next one which will start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story.”

What does that mean for Spider-Man?
Producer Kevin Feige previously explained how Spidey would be impacted in the Homecoming sequel:

“Like how the events of Captain America: Civil War impacted Peter as he was dropped off by Tony and expected to go back to continue his sophomore year, how the hell are the events of Infinity War and Untitled [Avengers] going to affect him as he, yes, goes back to his junior year?”

It’s clear that Spider-Man survives the battle with Thanos. But we don’t know what other heroes make it out of that conflict alive. So it’s time for some good old-fashioned speculation.

Imagine, if you will, that Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, a mentor and friend to young Peter Parker, sacrifices himself to defeat Thanos and ends up dying in the process of taking down the MCU’s ultimate big bad. That would solve a practical problem for Marvel Studios (read: they wouldn’t have to pay RDJ exorbitant amounts of money to appear in their movies anymore), and from a story perspective, it would send shockwaves through future films. No other Avenger would be more deeply impacted by Stark’s death than Spider-Man, who looks up to him as a father figure.

If Marvel chooses to go that route, the Homecoming sequel could open with a heartbroken Peter reeling from the loss of Stark that theoretically would have happened just minutes before. That would follow a long-standing tradition of the second movie in a trilogy being a darker, Empire Strikes Back-style exploration of its main character and the world they live in. And without his mentor there to help, Peter would face an organic obstacle that would allow him to grow, gain more agency, and become a more dynamic character as the MCU continues to chug forward.

What do you think of that theory?

Cool theory...... probably was posted in Spiderman thread

For the record...

per my research a few weeks back when I had to destroy one of them POWERLESS cats

Something came to my attention that I never really knew and I'm not sure if any of yall or anyone else knew.

So the 1st live action DC based film made was Superman and the Molemen back in 1951.:ehh:

But the 1st live action Marvel based film was Captain America back in 1944.:ohhh:

So just like Marvel started this Cinematic Universe era or I guess more accurately named "Megafranchises":sas2:

Is it fair to say Marvel kinda started the comic book movie game?:leon:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I made a separate thread about this, but Marvel needs to chill with releasing scenes from upcoming movies, weeks before the movie drops. In the internet age, that's not necessary.

We already piece together plot details, set footage and watch trailers 30 to 40 times anyway. The buzz is there. No need to drop footage from the movie when you don't have to.

Spiderman sells itself. Fans :wow: when he was in Civil War. He's in the MCU. No need to oversell this solo flick by dropping footage. I'm glad I only watched the trailers.

The MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE Has an Official Timeline Document - And It's Massive

Marvel Studios has a timeline for their films that stretches far into the future - and the past. No, we're not just talking about their release schedule - according to Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts, there's an official document that covers then entire history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“There’s an actual scroll that they unrolled for me
,” Watts told Entertainment Weekly. “One of my producers, Eric Carroll, it was his first job at Marvel to work on a timeline and see where things line up and see where things didn’t quite line up. Like, ‘Oh, that’s when Captain America is born.'”

"It’s very long. It’s the most amazing thing because it starts, honestly, at the beginning of time — I don’t remember specifically, but I think it has something to do with Thor. It is truly an amazing document.”

In all fairness to Watts, that was probably Thor's grandfather Bor, as seen in Thor: The Dark World.

One thing fans have enjoyed about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the parallel between the continuity found between films and inside the pages of the comics. With all the planning that goes into where each film takes place in the timeline, it’s a safe bet that a document exists that chronicles this information.

Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts was introduced to this very document after he signed on for Spidey’s first solo outing in the MCU. Surprisingly, it also goes all the way back to the dawn of time.

“There’s an actual scroll that they unrolled for me,” Watts told Entertainment Weekly. “One of my producers, Eric Carroll, it was his first job at Marvel to work on a timeline and see where things line up and see where things didn’t quite line up. Like, ‘Oh, that’s when Captain America is born.'”

Watts also added that the actual size of the scroll surpasses the length of a conference room table.
“Uh yes, it’s very long. It’s the most amazing thing because it starts, honestly, at the beginning of time — I don’t remember specifically, but I think it has something to do with Thor.” He laughs. “It is truly an amazing document.”

"Bu bu bu bu bu bu but they dont plaaaaaaan"

"Bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu but they just throw stuff together"

Hmmmmm I wonder do other studios have a doc like this and do as much meticulous planning for their copycat Megafranchises:sas2:

My guess is probably not:skip:
