I will say tho

For all the degeneracy we see overseas getting pushed out of America, that is 1st place where I learned to call elder women Ms (insert first name here) if they not family. Out of respect.

England we 'black brits' just be calling random old ladies Julie more time and Julie could be older than my Nan 😩

You don't know what the fugg you are popping off about is the problem.

You couldn't even do it America. We had to refer to our elders as ma'am and sir. There are still kids being raised doing that.

The difference is that when people moved into cities customs change. The same thing happened in Africa and the Caribbean. I have seen it. People that grow up in villages are different than kids that grow up in cities.

This is true..
In the US it seems more extreme though because people have been in metropolitan areas a lot longer.

As a kid in America you didn't grow up calling adults by their first names, even if you grew up in the cities. Your mother or Grandmother would've knocked your teeth out if you disrepected like that. Adults were always called Mr. or Mrs. somebody or another. African Americans used to be raised to be very respectful to adults, especially the elderly. That was all over the country.

Cities are the reasons customs changed and that is the case in the Caribbean and in Africa too.

Yeah as an African American it is confusing hearing people trying to advise African Americans about our customs and culture. As kids African Americans were almost universally raised calling people Mr. or Mrs; and saying yes ma'am and no ma'am. We would never call an adult by their first names. Even to this day you will hear little African American kids calling adults Mr. or Mrs.

So in other words, you agree with my statement :snoop: Simple logic excercise from YOUR own words

1- Your words: People that grew up in “villages” are different (read: more deferential) than those raised in “cities”.

2- Fact: People raised/from the US are more likely to be raised in/influenced by cities

3- Fact: People raised/from other countries are more likely to be raised in/influenced by villages

Conclusion: people from other counties are more likely to be more deferential.

You shouldn't drink your breakfast sir. They really need to stop impaired posting on thecoli.

First of all Ant is a grown ass man. Obama is a grown ass man. So fugg both of them.

You went into a whole different realm of ridiculousness though trying to impose some kind of bullshyt litmus customs test which is a fugging lie that needed to be challenged

If the bullshyt you claimed were true then why are there always protests and revolutions in the Caribbean and in Africa were the youth are challenging the elders about the need for change? If nikkas are as respectful as you claim then why do they challenge their elders rather than just going along getting along? Hell Africa is the birth place of OG disrespect. Look at the history of slavery alone to see the level of disrespect. Slave raiding young men an women were not respecting their elders. They were robbing, kidnapping and killing them.

Stop with the bullshyt.

Are you developmentally delayed? :dahell:

Black people that grow up in the Country in America have different customs than people that grow up in the cities in America. A kid that grows up in the slums of Lagos or Onitsha or Freetown are going to have different customs than kids that grow up in rural villages Nigeria or Sierra Leone.

It is not a ADOS versus African versus Caribbean thing. It is a city versus rural thing. Stop being divisive lil nikka.

That’s a stupid comment to make because that’s based on generational trends, not ethnic background.

That’s a soft, politically correct comment as it’s laughable to imply generational trends are wholly independent of “ethnic background”.

Otherwise feel free to explain the top comment on ig ‘Ant so Atlanta’, or the title of the thread “YN energy”.

I mean dude is a hoe and has the dumbest opinions in the world
It’s a lot of nikkas that ain’t like us on this forum
Make of that what you will and their hairlines

I dont care to get in a squabble about the topic, but off topic, why do other peoples hair lines bother some guys on this forum?

It's not extending their life or their wallets. Its like taking up issue with a thin mustache or thick mustache....... to each their own.
If we all had the same hair lines we would be boring... like a few years ago when everybody and their young uncles had the fukk boy hair cuts, following the crowd.

Black people are diverse, we are all different, hair lines and all.

Pardon me?

Which part of the UK are us Black people calling random women 'Julie'?

Nah bro, where most Black people stay, in London, it's an auntie or uncle ting if you're Millenial and younger.

Julie ya kna, did I just read a statement from Ali G or something?
