I'm just gonna say it: So far, I don't like Windows 8

Seems like it's something designed for a tablet that they shoehorned into working for desktops too. I was feeling like I was using Windows mobile on my desktop or something.

The weird interface and lack of a start button had me like

All that having to swipe in a certain direction BS


Shyt is pretty mediocre from what I'm seeing so far. Granted, maybe it'll grow on me when I get more used to it, but so far it doesn't seem to have anything over previous versions of Windows. Granted, it may be cool for a tablet bu I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Anybody else got thoughts on it?

i saw it was $40 on Microsoft's site so i bought it. i'm bout to install it now. upgrading from Win7 i'm not gonna back anything up or install on a different drive i'm just gonna dive in head first

Charms bar controls every apps
Use Snap View to pin social things like Twitter or Messaging or Skype (which is sick)
Use the Windows Key + type anything to search or launch an app. USE WinKey to launch your start screen

i agree the OS is piff but i dont want this on my laptop/desktop

im definitely gonna get a W8 tablet tho but i had to go back to W7 on my laptop
