Yea. You should catch brian steele's(thug lawyer) statement(impact statement?) to the judge from today before the judge sentenced Thug. He basically pointed out a bunch of shyt the prosecutor fumbled on and summarizes the fukk ups. Not calling witnesses that would go against the lies they said, how they brought up thug lyrics as evidence when some of the lyrics werent thug's and a bunch of other shyt. And he said that wasnt even all of it. Brian even said he wanted to take it to trial but Thug sorta forcing the pleas because he just tired of waiting.
fake edit: here is vid should be timestamped buyt Steele starts at 1:34:30
Yeah I just finished it. I watch most of my vids sped up
He was shytting on all of the evidence the prosecutors were saying. He would’ve tore them to pieces. And he made it clear that he disagreed with the plea. His other lawyer was dope too, but he only really spoke during cross examinations of witnesses the state brought.
Judge was fair af. You could tell she much rather dealt with the defense. Thug doesn't even live in ATL and hasn’t since like 2018. Ten years investigating and they couldn’t even prove he was in town for most of that shyt. He only came back for this.
But with everything, this was fair. He lives in Cali so they will be transferring his parole there. He can still travel, keeps his passport, he cant have guns but his security or anyone else can if they have a license, only has to wear a ankle bracelet for a year, do community service (he was doing community stuff anyway.. and they proved that. Dude raised like 5 million for charities), etc.
Considering his time served and shyt he was guilty of (drugs, guns) this was a win. And only half of the probation time will he subjected to random drug tests
